Usha and JD Vance’s marriage has been in the spotlight for a while, particularly after the second lady was seen without her wedding ring. But at the time, Usha Vance’s office denied there was any truth to the rumours of marital issues, and the speculation died down a little bit. At least it did until she was spotted sans wedding ring once again. Once might be a mistake, but is two times a sign?

The second lady was seen once again joining first lady Melania Trump on a public engagement without her ring on. The two were at a holiday volunteer event at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Monday. Not that long ago, on November 19, Vance was also seen without her ring during a visit to Camp Lejeune in Richlands, North Carolina.

At the time, a statement released to People merely explained that Usha Vance is “a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.” Usha and JD Vance married in 2014 and share three kids: sons Ewan, 8, Vivek, 5, and daughter Mirabel, 3.

Speculation over their marriage comes after the vice president made comments about their differing faiths during a Turning Point USA event in October. During the event, Vance said that he hoped his wife would one day convert to Catholicism, as he did in 2019.“Most Sundays, Usha will come with me to church,” he said. “Do I hope, eventually, that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was moved by in church?”

“Yeah, honestly, I do wish that, because I believe in the Christian gospel and I hope eventually my wife comes to see it the same way.”

And something else that happened during that same event has also had people talking. Vance and Erika Kirk, the wife of the late Charlie Kirk, shared a hug onstage that some suggested said a lot about their closeness. In fact, the hug was so talked about that Erika Kirk went on to address it during a Megyn Kelly live show.

Kelly said, “They were acting like you touched the back of his a–!” to which Kirk replied, “I feel like I wouldn’t get as much hate if I did that!”

During that same event, Erika Kirk introduced Vance with the following words: “No one will ever replace my husband. But I do see some similarities of my husband in J.D. — in Vice President J.D. Vance. I do. And that’s why I am so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight.”

RadarOnline.com even consulted a body language expert and behaviour analyst, Traci Brown, who said she believes the Vice President and Erika Kirk are “super close.”

“Or she wants to be super close. And he’s not saying no, right?” she added. “If I was Usha… I would have liked to be a fly on the wall in the car ride home.”

Brown also said the hug showed a “general lack of boundaries.”

We don’t know yet if the lack of a wedding ring on Usha Vance’s part means something or not. But we’ll probably find out one way or another sooner rather than later.
