The Andrew scandal has left the British Royal family under even more of a microscope than they already are. A lot of people have been questioning the need for a monarchy for a while, and the more bad things come out, the harder it is to justify an entire country’s taxes going to supporting the lifestyle of the royals. And even if Andrew’s titles have now been stripped from him, he’s not the only one people are now looking into.
Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are under increased scrutiny, with royal historian Andrew Lownie telling NewsNation that the two are making a substantial amount of money in the Middle East.

“While they’re princesses, they’re earning large sums of money in the Middle East. We’ve seen Beatrice promoting a Saudi bank recently,” Lownie said. “We just don’t know what’s going on. I mean, again, one of the ways that they’re paid is through jewelry.”
This comes after reports that Andrew is responsible for the connections both of his daughters have in the area. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were also recently accused of faking publicity to try to look better. The Daily Mail published pictures of the sisters, who were reportedly “spotted chatting intensely in the street,” and appeared “to be consoling one another” before “sharing a close embrace as they said goodbye to one another.”
Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop reported that “the public display was anything but spontaneous,” with one source telling the journalist, “I think they knew exactly what they were doing. They’re rebranding as survivors—victims of their parents’ scandals, not participants.”
Why would they be doing this? Well, reports indicate Andrew might be facing jail time, so it makes sense for his daughters to try to distance themselves as much as possible, particularly if they are still interested in being part of the royal family.
According to Lownie, “Andrew is going to be charged with various public offences and misconduct in public office… he’ll probably go to jail,” he told NewsNation. “The case against him is pretty clear. He’s absolutely, he’s toast.”
It’s not even due to his Epstein connections, according to the royal biographer. “He won’t go down for sex trafficking,” Lownie explained. “It will be for financial impropriety.” The author explained that the former prince reportedly spent a lot of money on his trips as a trade envoy. That’s not all, as the Metropolitan Police has also said it is “actively looking into” claims that Andrew asked a protection officer in 2011 to dig up personal information about his accuser, Virginia Giuffre.
That’s not all, as Lownie indicated, Fergie is also in trouble. “She’s been basically using charities to make money. So she’s gonna be in trouble there,” Lownie said.
Now, come the reports that Andrew and Fergie’s daughters have their own questionable connections. Doesn’t really bode well for the Yorks or for the British royal family’s attempts to distance themselves from this scandal that seemingly will not die.
