Kate & Camilla Reportedly Had ‘Poisonous Showdown’ After the Queen’s ‘Bad Attitude’ Toward the Princess—’It Got Nasty’
Rumors about the relationship between Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla have been flying around for a while. They don’t get along. They do get along. Sometimes they have issues. It’s hard to know what to believe, but since some things do play out in public, there are some hints. And reports continue to come out.
The latest seems to indicate that the biggest issue between the two right now is, surprisingly, Prince Harry. Sources tell Globe that Queen Camilla isn’t at all happy that Middleton is helping the king’s youngest son reconcile with his father.

“Camilla wants nothing to do with Harry. She’s revolted by the soft stance Charles is taking at the moment and fully supports William’s zero-tolerance, no-forgiveness policy,” sources told the outlet. But Middleton reportedly is taking a different stance.
“She’s astounded that Kate continues to stick up for him. But Kate couldn’t care less what Camilla thinks. Kate considers herself to be the queen now, even though Charles hasn’t stepped down yet. That really gets Camilla steaming. She’s not about to be pushed to the side and give back the crown jewels.”
Things reportedly got pretty heated between the two. “Camilla and Kate had a poisonous showdown at the palace, and Camilla told Kate flat-out that she’s being naive and reckless — not to mention disloyal toward her husband by refusing to respect his wishes,” the insider said.
“It got nasty. Kate’s been very patient and biting her tongue for much of this year over Camilla’s bad attitude toward her, but this Harry situation is making things a hundred times more tense.”
All of this comes as Harry is expected to visit the UK soon, and reportedly even meet with his estranged family. The youngest son of King Charles already met with his father back in September, and with Middleton on his side, further meetings with the family don’t seem out of the question, which is something Camilla is reportedly “dreading.”
“The king wants Camilla to put this aside and at least pop in and say hello to Harry when he’s over, which she’ll likely honor, but it’ll be through gritted teeth,” the insider said. “What really irks her is that these ongoing peace talks shouldn’t be happening at all — and they wouldn’t be if Kate hadn’t butted in to engineer this path for Harry to get back in touch with his father again.”
Will Queen Camilla just grin and bear it? According to the source, not so much, “especially not with someone who’s inflicted so much stress and suffering on the people she loves.”
All of this comes after recent reports that the relationship between Kate and Camilla is anything but good. Last year Us Weekly reported on their secret “tense relationship,” saying that Camilla has been vocal behind closed doors that Charles should stay on as King for as long as he can. “She loves her responsibilities,” an insider explained. “Her whole life, she has always wanted to be queen, so she doesn’t want to let it go so fast.”
