Kate Reportedly Terrified of What Fergie Could ‘Reveal’ After Reports She’s Writing a ‘Tell-All For Money’—They Were ‘Friends’ For ‘Years’
The relationship between Kate Middleton and Andrew and his ex-wife, Fergie, isn’t exactly great these days. It has reportedly not been good for a while, and part of it is the Jeffrey Epstein of it all involving Andrew and Fergie. With the British royal family pushing away the two in an effort to maintain a good image, what is their relationship like now?
Reportedly, Middleton is “caught in a painful dilemma” over the breakdown of her friendship with the former Duchess of York. “Kate has become friends with Sarah over the years,” an insider told RadarOnline. “But one thing she will not abide is her going on TV or writing a tell-all for money now she and Andrew have been ousted from their lodgings and stripped of their royal titles over the Epstein scandal.”

The pair’s friendship reportedly developed due to their shared experiences with cancer. Middleton was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer at the beginning of 2024 and announced she was in remission early in 2025. Sarah Ferguson has had cancer twice: breast cancer in June 2023 and malignant melanoma in January 2024.
Of course, now this puts Middleton in a complicated position, according to the source, who says that Middleton “appreciated” the support, but now worries about what their close friendship during the years could mean. “She cares deeply for Sarah, yet she cannot allow herself to become entangled in another controversy,” the insider claimed. “Her focus has to remain on her children, her well-being, and safeguarding the future of the monarchy.”
With Ferguson and Andrew Mountbouten-Windsor being stripped of their titles and evicted from Royal Lodge, there have been questions about what Ferguson would do next. “It seems her world is falling apart,” the insider said about Ferguson. “She is really grasping at straws to try to secure her future. If that means a TV or memoir tell-all, she’s likely to do it.”
The outlet also reports that King Charles is worried about what Andrew and Fergie might do next. “Charles feels he cannot allow the family name to be tarnished further,” the source continued. “At the same time, he’s very aware of the risks. The Yorks are unpredictable, and there’s real concern about what they might do next.”
All of this comes after The Express alleged that Fergie has an “appetite for revenge” and is “not happy” with King Charles‘ decision to evict her and Andrew from what has been their home for many years.
TalkTV host Mark Dolan said on SkyNews, “She feels that she’s been thrown under the bus, that it was Andrew’s ill-advised relationship with the disgraced ex-financier, and therefore, she’s got the record to set straight. She needs the cash, and it’s very possible that she will sign a million-dollar deal to spill the beans… The big problem is for Charles because this whole scandal threatens to taint his entire reign as monarch.”
And, if she’s spilling the beans, chances are she’ll talk about everything she knows, which doesn’t bode well for Kate Middleton either.
