Kate Reportedly Planning ‘Significant Changes’ to Beatrice & Eugenie’s Roles After They Were Caught ‘Trash-Talking’ William
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are in a very weird place right now. They’ve obviously been affected by the fact that their father, Andrew, has had his titles stripped and has been evicted from Royal Lodge. And their mother, Sarah Ferguson, has been caught in a scandal over her own connections to Jeffrey Epstein. But overall, the two have been maintaining a low profile, and the public opinion of them hasn’t been affected all that much.
Now, there come reports that Kate Middleton is “stepping up” her role within the monarchy, as she and Prince William prepare for his coronation. Middleton has recently made more public appearances, which had been way less recent since she announced her cancer diagnosis and then her remission.

A source recently told Heat that this will translate into “streamlining” the monarchy, as has been previously discussed. “William is very focused on accountability and Kate is very much of the same mind. She believes every senior royal ought to show exactly what they are doing, why it matters, and how it helps the public. She wants to streamline their workload to what could really help. If an engagement does not support real charitable impact, it gets cut,” a source said.
The move to strip Andrew of his titles is seen as a first step to this. The decision was King Charles’ but royal experts believe it was a family decision that had Kate and William’s full support.
A source told People: “There would have been a push from Camilla and Catherine, and there was pressure from William, who would not want to inherit the headache. It was a family decision.”
Beatrice and Eugenie’s titles are reportedly safe, but Heat says that William and Kate are “planning significant changes to how the monarchy functions.” And that could affect them monetarily. “That’s going to mean letting people go and shaving off certain expenses or benefits that various family members get,” the insider said.
Reportedly, communicating this will be up to Kate. “She has this gentle, peaceful public image, but she’s nobody’s pushover. She’s incredibly savvy and she’s not afraid to make firm decisions when needed,” they added. “She understands that leadership requires a certain ruthlessness, not unkindness, but clarity. She doesn’t shy away from that; she sees it as her duty to stay strong for the monarchy.”
All of this comes after reports that Beatrice and Eugenie were used as a way to get their father to agree to give up his titles. “Everyone’s telling them how lucky they are, but the fact that William was using that as a bargaining chip was something that still sits very badly with them,” an insider told the National Examiner.
That reportedly led the sisters into “trash-talking” their cousin. “These bad feelings towards William will do them no good in the long run, but right now, the emotion is running sky-high,” an insider claimed. “They can’t help themselves. At the end of the day, they’re their parents’ daughters, very headstrong and defiant, and that’s really coming to the fore.”
