Olivia Rodrigo and her long-term boyfriend Louis Partridge have allegedly called it quits.
The two went official in 2023 when Page Six confirmed their relationship after posting paparazzi pictures of the two kissing in New York City. Olivia Rodrigo allegedly wrote the song “So American” about him, with lyrics saying: And he says I’m so American / Oh God, I’m gonna marry him / If he keeps this s—t up.”
Just in September 2025, Louis Partridge opened up about upholding the title of “Mr. Olivia Rodrigo. “I can handle that,” he told Variety. “I’m very happy, and I think she is too, so all is good in our world.”

He also told Esquire UK about dating in the public sphere while being a celebrity. “I think [it helps], yeah, to not blow it out of proportion or not have to explain it or have someone understand it,” he said. “I just have no doubt that we’re both in a relationship for the right reason, for example. I’m sure that’s something you have to think about when you reach a certain level of success.”
While there hasn’t been confirmation about their breakup, The US Sun reports that the two decided to spend time apart from each other. “It’s not been the easiest few weeks for them and they decided it’s better to be apart for now,” a source told the outlet.
The “driver’s license” singer attended Lily Allen’s holiday party in London, and a source dished, “Olivia was at Lily’s party and emotional when she was talking about it. Her friends have rallied around her but it’s just been pretty rough. It’s really sad right now.”

The source said: “They made such a lovely couple so people who know them were shocked when they heard.
In news of another Englishman in her life, Olivia Rodrigo also opened up about having tea with Harry Styles for the first time and how her fangirl dreams came true. “I used to write One Direction fan fiction when I was in elementary school,” the musician said on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s podcast Music Makes Us. “Many years later, I hung out with Harry Styles, and we got tea, and we walked around.”
She continued, “And I got home, and I was like, ‘What the f—?’ I feel like I wrote that in a fan fiction, and now I’ve lived it. That is so crazy how that can happen in your life.”
