The former Prince Andrew has now been stripped of his titles and ordered to vacate his home of Royal Lodge. But Andrew still hasn’t left. In fact, reports indicate he has tried to put off actually moving out for as long as he can, even as the pressure mounts and new information about his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is released to the media.

Now, it seems King Charles could be putting some pressure on his brother. And reports indicate he could do so in a rather surprising manner, by “confiscating” something Andrew holds dear. A new report in the Express says, “King Charles has one option left to get Andrew out of Royal Lodge and it might make him cry.”

What is that option? Well, apparently, “Andrew is somewhat obsessed with teddy bears,” with the report suggesting the King could arrange for someone “to pack up” his collection to coax him out. The outlet reports this could be seen as a threat, forcing Andrew to “quit Royal Lodge by the start of January [2026].” The outlet even alleged that holding the stuffed animals hostage would “be a Christmas present to the nation.”

This still feels like a long shot, but some reports do indicate the King will remove some royal “treasures” from the property. Royal expert Robert Hardman previously told the Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential, “The Royal Collection, which owns quite a lot of the treasures inside there, may say, ‘Well we can’t be confident that this place is safe anymore,’ and they’ll start taking the paintings and the some of the furniture away.”

Not that those treasures are as important to the former Prince as his stuffed toy collection, at least according to Express. “It’s even been recently reported that he’s currently so lonely he’s taken to chatting to the plush toys as if they were close friends,” the outlet said.

There have been several accounts of Prince Andrew and his obsession with teddy bears. Charlotte Briggs who used to work for the disgraced royal told The Sun in 2022 about her daily duties in arranging the stuffed toys for the Prince. “As soon as I got the job, I was told about the teddies and it was drilled into me how he wanted them,” she said. “I even had a day’s training. Everything had to be just right. It was so peculiar.” She claims the bears were collected from all over the world and many were dressed up like sailors.

This comes after recent reports from the Mail on Sunday that the move will not be put off much longer, and that since the property Andrew will allegedly occupy in Sandringham is undergoing renovations, he will be moving to a “temporary” property the size of a “shoebox.”

Reports also indicate Andrew’s belongings have started being removed from Royal Lodge under “cover of darkness,” with items being moved “to a Windsor storage facility belonging to the Crown Estate.” But the move will reportedly not be easy, since Andrew is a “natural hoarder,” and has “filled rooms of his Windsor home with clutter and was not prepared to accept help sorting through his private collections.” The state of Royal Lodge is apparently such that “some anterooms are filled to the ceiling with documents and photographs.”

Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop had previously reported that Andrew was “refusing to leave” his current home at Royal Lodge and was “telling people he wants £75,000,000 to even think about moving out.” Not just that, when he finally agreed to the move, he apparently had conditions, like “a cook, a gardener, a housekeeper, a driver,” as well as police protection.

Presumably, his teddy bears, too.
