The release of the so-called Epstein Files, or at least parts of it, has brought some of the high-profile associations the convicted sex offender kept back into the spotlight. And of course, one of those is with the former Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. And as it has been reported before, their relationship wasn’t casual. Instead, both Sarah and Andrew were close to Epstein for years.
And there’s photographic proof. Though the friendship between the three was already well documented, new images featuring both Andrew and Fergie have been made public as part of the latest release of information published by the US government. And that has caused Ferguson to launch a last-ditch attempt to get in the royal family’s good graces.

Ferguson has reportedly been sending out solo Christmas cards, with a source telling the Daily Mail that the cards include the line “I hope we’ll meet again,” which makes it very clear she has not been invited to any family Christmas celebrations. Makes sense, too, as Andrew has reportedly not been invited either. Her daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, have reportedly been considered in the British royal family’s plans, though there’s no confirmation of what they will do.
“Those addressed to members of the Royal Family have been accompanied by a gushing personalised apology for her part in the fall of the House of York,” the source explained. “Including the desperate line: ‘I hope we’ll meet again’.”
All of this comes amid reports that Ferguson will be moving out of Royal Lodge, the home she shared with her ex for over a decade, and will not be moving in with Andrew as he relocates to Sandringham.
“She is assessing a number of options currently, and no final decision has been made,” a spokesperson told People. “Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself,” a source told the outlet. “She will continue to forge an independent life.” The outlet also reported that she “is going to be moving out and into a separate home.”
Recent reports had indicated Beatrice was providing a renovated “cattle shed” on her Cotswolds estate as a “granny annexe” or that Fergie could relocate to Portugal to live near Eugenie at her property in an area dubbed the “Hamptons of Europe.” It doesn’t seem like a decision has been made yet, however.
Even before Andrew and Fergie were asked to vacate Royal Lodge, RadarOnline reported that King Charles wanted them both removed. “The king feels deeply that Royal Lodge cannot remain a sanctuary for the Duke and Duchess of York. After everything that has come out, he wants them out. It’s not just about optics anymore – it’s about trying to preserve the integrity of the monarchy,” one insider said at the time.
“The King’s patience is at an end,” another source added then. “If Sarah’s income dries up and Andrew has no means of support, their hand may finally be forced. Charles is determined that Royal Lodge will not be their refuge forever,” with reports at the time indicating the King wasn’t afraid to leave them “homeless.”
“The king took a risk by welcoming Sarah back into royal life, and now he feels let down. This whole episode has convinced the Palace that the Yorks can’t stay at Royal Lodge.”
Where Fergie will go next remains a mystery. But one thing is clear, she will not be spending Christmas with the royal family.
