Prince Harry‘s latest comments might put him in hot water with the Trump administration, according to sources.

The Duke of Sussex recently made a surprise appearance at the British American Business Council (BABC) event in Santa Monica, California. Harry referenced the World Cup that will be held in the US. “Next year, I know we are looking forward to welcoming more Brits from across the pond. Provided they behave and if they make it through customs, and past ICE.”

Some sources told RadarOnline that the move might have been ill-advised and “reckless.” “Poking fun at Trump like this when ICE and the U.S. Government have his residency papers under the microscope is incredibly risky,” one insider said. “One wrong move and he could find himself facing serious immigration consequences.”

Another insider added: “It’s not just about the jokes. Every public dig at Trump draws attention to Harry’s presence in America. People are starting to ask questions about his legal status – and not in a good way.”

The comments came a month after Prince Harry appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he took a jab at the current president. In a sketch, Harry joked about how “obsessed” Americans were with Christmas movies and royalty. After Colbert dismissed the claims, Harry then seemingly made a joke about Trump: “Really? I heard you elected a king.”

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich disapproved of Harry’s joke toward Trump. “Harry did himself no favors,” she told Fox News Digital. “And to hear that decidedly left-leaning New York City audience boo him – he went from cheers and a standing ovation at first, to that. A few minutes’ summary, if you ask me, of his entire trajectory.” She continued, “His ghastly, self-defeating swipe at both President Trump and his own royal family signaled yet again his terrible judgment.”

RadarOnline reported that Harry, who moved to Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, “lives in fear” of being “deported” by Trump back to his home in the United Kingdom. “He still lives in fear of what Trump might do – the possibility of being deported is something he can’t shake from his mind,” the insider said.
