The Andrew scandal has left the people closest to him having to decide whether the time has come to put some public distance or whether they still want to associate with him. No one can truly blame the British royal family for stripping Andrew of his titles and ordering him to vacate Royal Lodge. In fact, the real question is why it took them so long to do this, considering reports about Andrew’s relationship with Epstein have been swirling for years.
Now, with Christmas almost here, the Daily Mail is reporting that the former prince might be spending a very lonely Christmas, as his daughter Princess Beatrice has decided to “snub her disgraced father,” and as a result, will be “spending Christmas far away from him.”

The outlet reports that Beatrice will “avoid embarrassment” by not attending the Royal Family’s Christmas celebration at Sandringham, with reports indicating she feels “torn between loyalty to The King and her parents.”
One source told the publication, “She didn’t want it to look like they were snubbing anyone so it was easier to go off with friends.” According to The Sun, Princess Beatrice will go skiing with a group of friends, after sharing that she was “tormented” by the recent scandals.
And Andrew is not taking all the recent scandals well, the Sun reports, “With everything that’s gone on, he’s very much like the Grinch. It’s clear this year that festive cheer is in short supply.”
Ironically, whatever Andrew is feeling, he will still be feeling it at Royal Lodge, as neither he nor Fergie has yet to move out of the home they have lived in for years. The two are reportedly set to vacate the property early in the new year.
Reports that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie would skip Christmas at Sandringham aren’t new. The Mail on Sunday recently reported that “Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie face a ‘tug-of-love’ dilemma after being invited by The King to spend Christmas at Sandringham,” due to the fact that their parents weren’t similarly invited.
“With their disgraced parents banished into exile, the sisters are being pulled in different directions by their divided family’s competing demands,” the outlet reported.
It even went on to add that the decision had become both “a logistical and emotional nightmare” for the sisters. One source said about Beatrice, “Unless she makes a decision to pick one side and one side only, she will spend a lot of time in the car,” adding, “Overall it falls to the princesses to soothe family divisions. They are struggling with Christmas.”
No confirmation yet on what Eugenie will do, but the last reports indicated she might also skip the family celebrations. “Eugenie was tempted to stay in Portugal with her family and husband Jack Brooksbank,” a source told the outlet. “She is so settled there, far from all the drama.”
We will soon find out what decision Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie make. But either way, this is nothing but a normal Christmas for the British royal family.
