The recent release of the Epstein files has proved how deep the ties between the former Prince Andrew and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein ran. This has been more or less an open secret for a while, but now the information is out there and making it obvious that a lot of people have looked the other way about their connection for years. But Andrew is reportedly not that concerned.
According to RadarOnline.com, Andrew is brushing off the criticism with the dismissive line: “It’s just more of the same.” This despite new pictures that place him at Sandringham with Ghislaine Maxwell and several victims, and a newly released 2021 email where Andrew allegedly asked Epstein accomplice Maxwell if she had “found me some new inappropriate friends.”

The outlet reported about Andrew, “His attitude is deeply dismissive. He keeps muttering, ‘It’s just more of the same,’ as if the repeated images and allegations no longer matter.”
Another insider added: “He treats the renewed scrutiny with total dismissiveness when it is brought up in meetings with senior royals like King Charles. He doesn’t think accountability should apply to him.”
People have tried to defend the former Prince, with a friend of Andrew reportedly telling reporters, “We don’t see what the problem is. It’s just hi-jinks at a party. He’s fully clothed.” Previous photographs of Andrew with Epstein and Maxwell at Balmoral and in the Royal Box at Ascot in June 2000 have been published before.
Despite that, Andrew has consistently tried to downplay his relationship with Epstein, though at times, particularly during that infamous Newsnight interview that cost him his status as a working royal in 2019, he seemed not to understand what the issue even was. The interview went a long way towards turning public opinion against Andrew, who had to retire from public life afterwards.
Still, he remained the Duke of York and a prince until recently, when King Charles stripped him of his titles, leaving him Andrew Mountbouten-Windsor. He was also ordered to vacate his home of Royal Lodge, and was not invited to the Christmas celebrations alongside the rest of the royal family.
Reportedly, the disgraced prince will move out of his current home and into a smaller one in Sandringham, where he will remain out of the public eye. Some, however, have called for an even harsher punishment for the royal’s despicable actions, including jail time. Andrew has, so far, refused to testify about Epstein in the US and seems to be hopeful of avoiding any real accountability outside of public condemnation, which he presumably doesn’t even care about that much.
The allegations against him, though circumstantial right now, are clear. There is new information coming out on the Epstein files, but there is also the posthumous publication of Virginia Giuffre’s memoirs, where the Epstein sex trafficking victim claimed she had been forced to have sex with Andrew when she was only 17. Andrew has always denied the allegations, but he did settle a lawsuit with Giuffre.
Right now, it seems Andrew is pretty convinced nothing will happen to him. We’ll have to wait and see if he gets away with it or not.
