The relationship between all the members of the British royal family can be complicated, to say the least. Part of it is that there has been a lot of scandal. There’s the drama surrounding the former Prince Andrew. There’s the drama surrounding Prince Harry and whether he and his family can ever fully reconcile. And now, there’s apparently drama between King Charles and his other son, Prince William.
Apparently, the latest drama had to do with William being strongly opposed to King Charles’ decision to include Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in the family’s Christmas church walk. And the disagreement is apparently getting so big that some insiders are saying it’s now getting bigger than anything involving Prince Harry. Big words.

According to Rob Shuter, William warned the King that allowing the princesses to appear publicly with the rest of the family at this point was a bad idea, but the King overruled him. “William said it was a disaster waiting to happen,” one court insider told the gossip columnist. “He argued the timing was toxic and that it would hurt everyone involved — especially the sisters.”
Charles disagreed, and he was ultimately the one who made the final choice. “Charles doesn’t like being told what not to do,” another source said. “This quickly became about authority. He made the call even knowing William objected.”
And according to Shuter, that has caused tension. “Charles actually has more trouble with William than Harry,” one insider explained. “Harry walked away. William stayed — and challenges him.”
Ironically, insiders are saying William was right, as the move did not even help Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, particularly with new information about their father’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein coming out. Just recently, it was reported that in a newly released 2021 email from the Epstein files, Andrew allegedly asked Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell if she had “found me some new inappropriate friends,” and a picture of him, Maxwell, and a group of unidentified victims at Sandringham was also published.
With the two princesses appearing in public right as these things are being discussed, experts say it has just opened them up to more scrutiny. “It wasn’t protection,” a source said. “It was exposure.”
All of this comes after reports that Beatrice has issues with their father’s demotion, and particularly the fact that they were used as bargaining chips against him.“Everyone’s telling them how lucky they are, but the fact that William was using that as a bargaining chip was something that still sits very badly with them,” an insider told the National Examiner.
Allegedly, that pushed the sisters into “trash-talking” their cousin. “These bad feelings towards William will do them no good in the long run, but right now, the emotion is running sky-high,” an insider claimed. “They can’t help themselves. At the end of the day, they’re their parents’ daughters, very headstrong and defiant, and that’s really coming to the fore.”
Considering the latest reports, it doesn’t seem like that relationship is going to get better anytime soon.
