Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez got married not so long ago, so they should still be in the honeymoon stage. And maybe they are, but new reports indicate that what the honeymoon stage means might differ for the two. Or, at least, that their personalities are clashing a little bit in the way they enjoy things.

The pair celebrated Christmas in Aspen and then were spotted at celebrity hotspot Nikki Beach in St. Barts. And though Sánchez seemed to be having a lot of fun, according to insiders, Bezos looked tired. Perhaps he was just having an off day, or maybe he just doesn’t like partying as much as Sánchez does. Hard to tell from one interaction.

“Lauren’s energy is non-stop,” a source told Rob Shuter, indicating it was all part of a larger issue. “She was jumping, dancing, laughing — and Jeff was hanging on for dear life. He looked wiped.”

Reports about the party indicate that at one point, bottle girls, including one riding a motorcycle with sparklers, walked around the party, and Sánchez leapt from her seat to celebrate. “It was like a whirlwind — Jeff just followed along.” Their $500 million mega yacht, Koru, was anchored nearby, but the couple reportedly spent most of their time on land.

Shuter also reported that, in Aspen, the couple were seen shopping together and holding hands while strolling around the ski town. “He’s happy, but he’s clearly worn out trying to match her,” another source said.

This comes after an update on the legal battle Sánchez and Bezos have been engaged in with her estranged brother, Michael Sánchez. Page Six reported that their legal team filed a motion in California Superior Court asking Michael to pay $182,374 in attorney’s fees and $8,182 in legal costs, “incurred in connection with (1) her successful Special Motion to Strike, and (2) this Motion for Attorney’s Fees and Costs.” The hourly rates for the lawyers range from $549 to $1,125.

All of this comes from issues that started when an alleged affair between Bezos and Sanchez was first reported. This alleged affair first came to light when the former journalist was still married to Patrick Whitesell. The National Enquirer reported on the affair alongside X-rated photos from the couple’s private texts. Michael Sánchez was believed to be the source of the leak at the time.

But he has steadfastly denied the accusations, going as far as to refer to his sister and her new husband as “liars and cheaters.” He then sued them for defamation. The Los Angeles County Superior Court, however, ruled in Bezos’ favor. Bezos then asked that Michael Sánchez cover all legal fees.

So, a lot is happening for Bezos and his new wife, who are also reportedly heavily involved in planning the next Met Gala. But then again, when you’re in their position, a lot is always happening. And they certainly have a lot of people around them to make their lives easier. So, they will probably party on. Whether Bezos is tired or not.
