Eric Nam is keeping it real on The Traitors, but many fans of the beloved Peacock reality show might want to know more about the K-pop star.
Known for horrible British accents and literally almost getting murdered on every episode so far, Eric isn’t afraid to make those trustworthy alliances or call people out on their BS (Looking at you, Michael Rapaport.)

If you’re a K-pop stan, you definitely know how big Eric Nam is and how he’s well-connected with almost every popular Korean artist out there (including BTS!). But if you’re new to Nam Nation, welcome!
Eric Nam is a Korean-American singer-songwriter who debuted in 2013. He’s a fixture on the K-pop scene as a host on several variety shows and events, and even had the title of The Nation’s Boyfriend for being on radio shows, TV appearances, and podcasts all the time. Take a look at his impressive career below!
Eric Nam was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. He went to Boston College and accepted a consulting position at Deloitte. He was later scouted to compete in South Korea in Star Audition: Birth of a Great Star 2, which caused him to pursue a career in music.
In 2018, Nam was named an honorary ambassador for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, and taught Tara Lipinsky and Johnny Weir, who were commentators for NBC, a few things about K-pop.
As a solo artist, Eric Nam has three full-length albums out: Before We Begin, There and Back Again, and House On A Hill. He also has four EPs: Cloud 9, Interview, Honestly, and The Other Side. He also has a ton of collaborations with other Korean artists like Wendy of Red Velvet, Tablo of Epik High, and Jeon Somi. He’s also set to release new music in 2026.
Along with his brothers Brian and Eddie, he founded the K-Content platform Dive Studios, which houses popular podcasts like Get Real and Daebak Show, which Eric hosts himself. On the Daebak Show, Eric interviews popular K-pop artists like members of Stray Kids, GOT7, and ENHYPEN. With the success of Dive Studios, the brothers also launched Mindset, a self-care app that features motivational content from K-pop talent such as members of SEVENTEEN, The Rose, and i-dle.
Eric Nam was cast as Aang in the upcoming animated Avatar: The Last Airbender film that focuses on the character as an adult. He is also set to star in HYBE America and Paramount’s 2027 feature film with Kpop Demon Hunter’s Ji-young Yoo.
