It’s like every day, there’s a new feud in the British royal family. It’s hard to keep track. There’s Harry’s feud with everyone, but not really with King Charles, but maybe still with King Charles? There’s former prince Andrew vs everyone, which at least makes sense. The least they can do is not associate with him. There’s reportedly Camilla and Kate. And now, there’s apparently another feud.
That’s right, new reports indicate the relationship between King Charles and Prince William isn’t doing well. According to Rob Shuter the two are not speaking, and tensions are “worse than they’ve been in years.” Funnily enough, Shuter himself points out that this has happened before, and they’ve eventually made up. But this time, it’s apparently very serious.

“It’s very bad at the moment,” one palace insider said. “There’s real anger on both sides.”
Speculation was renewed when William wasn’t present for King Charles’ Windsor Castle film premiere. “That wasn’t a scheduling issue,” a source said. “That was a statement.”
Ironically, it’s now gotten to the point where insiders are saying the quiet part out loud: relations between King Charles and Prince William have always been way more complicated than between Charles and Harry.
“Harry is emotional, reactive, and predictable,” one courtier broke it down. “William is controlled, strategic — and stubborn. That’s much harder.” Plus, there’s the fact that Harry isn’t around on the day-to-day. It’s easier to only remember the good.
“William will be king,” an insider explained the difference. “And he knows it. That changes the power dynamic completely.”
According to sources, it all boils down to a power struggle. King Charles is in charge now. William will be in the future. They both have very different ideas of what that means in the moment. “They clash because they’re too similar,” another source added. “Both believe they’re right. Neither backs down easily.”
There were reports that the two weren’t getting along not so long ago, when Andrew was first stripped of his titles. At the time, it was said that William was opposed to his cousins, Beatrice and Eugenie, being seen with the family in the wake of the scandal.
“William wanted the Yorks out of sight until after the King’s next health review,” an insider shared. “But His Majesty insisted — he thinks the family needs to heal in public.” Shuter said at the time.
The heir to the throne is reportedly not a fan of Andrew, and that all ties back to his uncle’s comments about Kate Middleton. “The feud between Prince William and Prince Andrew started primarily due to Andrew’s jealousy and resulting disparaging remarks regarding Kate Middleton,” royals expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.
“Prince William was infuriated,” she added, “Being fiercely protective, he instituted a zero-tolerance policy toward any wayward behavior or scandals involving Prince Andrew.” But of course, along came scandal after scandal.
After that, father and son reportedly patched things up. Now, they’re once again reportedly not seeing eye to eye. Will it last? Will they reconcile? We’ll have to wait and see.
