Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl Halftime show had a massive impact globally, but many fans are wondering why TikTok influencer Alix Earle took the stage with him.
Days before the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny hinted at surprise guests who were going to join onstage. “You know, that’s something that I’m not gonna tell you,” he jokingly said, before adding: “Of course, I have a lot of guests. It’s gonna be my family, my friends, or all the Latino community around the world that support me,” he said. “There’s a lot of people that love me around the world, not even just the Latinos. You just said that I’m Number One in China, right?”
Bad Bunny brought over his iconic “La Casita” from his Puerto Rico residency and featured some prominent Latin stars who partied the night away on the porch. Those include: Pedro Pascal, who’s Chile-American, Cardi B, who’s Afro-Caribbean, Karol G, who hails from Colombia, and Jessica Alba, who is Mexican-American. The artist also brought out Lady Gaga, who is of Italian descent, and fellow Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin to sing along with him during the show.
Alix Earle is white and not of Latin descent. She was born in Monmouth County, New Jersey, US. Earle was born to Thomas “TJ” Earle and Alisa Maniaci.

According to TikToker @spillsesh, Alix Earle has ties to Bad Bunny’s friend, Miami-based hospitality mogul David Grutman. The “Tití Me Pregunto” singer and Grutman co-own the Miami restaurant Gekko. Grutman is also part of of Fulwell Entertainment, the global entertainment group which is responsible for producing Earle’s upcoming reality series for Netflix. Grutman was also seen in La Casita with the group.
After their appearance in the Halftime show, fans called out Alix Earle’s attendance. “im lowkey side eyeing bad bunny because why tf was maga alix earle part of the halftime show #BenitoBowl #SuperBowlLX,” one X user wrote.
Earle took to TikTok to discuss her involvement in the Halftime show. “It was such an honor to experience such a special and powerful performance,” she wrote on TikTok stories over a picture of the ending billboard in Levi’s Stadium that read, “The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate is Love,” which was what Bad Bunny emphasized in his Grammys speech.

She also made a post of her time in La Casita with the caption, “bad bunny on 🔝 !! I’m still shaking.” However, many TikTok users went on to call out Earle since her apparent ethos didn’t match up with Bad Bunny’s—especially how he has called out ICE leading up to his Super Bowl appearance. “Can’t wait for your GRWM where you talk about what’s going on in our country and ways you are helping 🫶🏽,” one user wrote. “Should have given that spot to a Latin influencer,” another posted.
Earle directly responded to a comment that questioned her cameo. “You’ve never once used your platform and voice for the messages bad bunny sends. This is unbelievable and undeserved,” the user wrote. Earle replied, “I have 💗 and being invited to do this was such an incredible experience and so special.”
