When Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt broke up, the media attention about their relationship faded pretty fast because Pitt moved on with Angelina Jolie. But after Jolie and Pitt’s contentious divorce, some of the attention has seemingly returned to his previous marriage with Aniston. Particularly as everyone seems to understand that there’s no love lost between Pitt and Jolie—and their kids aren’t really all that fond of Pitt, either.
Pitt is in a relationship. So is Aniston. But that doesn’t mean people aren’t interested in if the exes are still in contact, and how things ended between them. Reports of Pitt’s divorce from Jolie include allegations of abuse against her and their children, which has put Aniston in the spotlight as well. And Rob Shuter reports Aniston’s boyfriend is feeling the pressure.

“Jim is deeply intimidated,” one insider told Shuter. “Brad Pitt isn’t just an ex-husband. He’s a cultural icon — one of the sexiest men to ever live. That body alone became part of pop history.”
For Valentine’s Day, Aniston shared a photo with Jim Curtis visible in the background, a clear message that they were still together and that they were celebrating the day with each other. Even if it’s not a full hard launch. However, according to Shuter’s reports, Curtis is very aware of the conversation surrounding Pitt and Aniston.
“The Brad-and-Jen narrative never really died,” a source explains. “It’s not that Jim thinks he’s competing — it’s that he’s stepping into something the public still romanticizes.”
And that might bring with it some doubts. “He’s confident, but he’s human. When your girlfriend’s former marriage is still treated like unfinished business by fans, that’s a lot to carry,” a source told Shuter.
However, Aniston doesn’t seem to be looking back. She told Elle: “My marriages, they’ve been very successful, in [my] personal opinion. And when they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness doesn’t exist within that arrangement anymore.”
“Sure, there were bumps, and not every moment felt fantastic, obviously, but at the end of it, this is our one life and I would not stay in a situation out of fear,” The Morning Show star continued. “Fear of being alone. Fear of not being able to survive. To stay in a marriage based on fear feels like you’re doing your one life a disservice.”
Reportedly, Pitt and Aniston have remained friendly since their divorce. In an interview with Vanity Fair in September 2005, Aniston said about her divorce from Pitt. “We exited this relationship as beautifully as we entered it.”
Aniston has reportedly been dating hypnotist Jim Curtis since 2025. The two were spotted leaving in a Sprinter van in Mallorca in photos obtained by the Daily Mail last year. On top of featuring in Aniston’s recent Valentine’s Day post, Aniston has also liked several of Curtis’ Instagram posts, including one where he rehearses affirmations about love and healing.
