The Andrew arrest and continued investigation have made people wonder what else is coming. He is, after all, not the only one in the Epstein files. His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also features prominently in the files, with accounts of her being close to the convicted sex offender for years before his death. Could she also face prosecution? What are her plans for the future?
Reports from RadarOnline indicate the former duchess sees the Gulf as a place where she and Andrew could stay “for the rest of their lives,” because in the Middle East, their status still carries weight. She recently spent time in the United Arab Emirates after having to vacate Royal Lodge.

According to a source, “Sarah has concluded that, realistically, the Middle East might be the only region where she and Andrew could settle long term and build some semblance of a stable existence without being relentlessly defined by scandal. In the U.K. – and much of Europe and the U.S. – their names are now inseparable from the Epstein fallout. Every public appearance, every business move, every social engagement is filtered through that association.”
“There, reputation operates on a different axis – status, access, and longstanding relationships tend to carry more weight than tabloid narratives,” an insider said. “Sarah feels the controversy that dominates headlines in Britain does not translate in the same way socially or professionally. In her mind, that makes the region one of the few places where they could live for the rest of their lives with a degree of privacy, acceptance, and financial security that simply no longer exists for them at home.”
Ferguson is not the only one who has connections in the area. A palace aide said, “Andrew has been building and maintaining personal and professional ties across the Gulf for more than 30 years, dating back to his time as trade envoy and even earlier. These aren’t fleeting acquaintances – they are long-standing relationships with senior royals, business leaders, and political figures in the region,” adding that “There is a widespread assumption within certain circles that, should he choose to lean on those connections, they could offer tangible assistance.”
This seems particularly important for him after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was released after being questioned for 11 hours—on his birthday, no less. But the investigation continues, and multiple locations connected to him have already been raided, so the expectation is that a lot more could come out.
As for Fergie, a source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack recently that Fergie is hiding in the United Arab Emirates, where she’s sheltered by a wealthy friend who’s offered her security, privacy, and refuge following Andrew’s arrest. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source added, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”
The Jeffrey Epstein investigation is far from over. So, now we just have to wait and see how and if Andrew and Fergie can escape consequences for their actions.
