With the state of the world these days, the questions about who will be serving in the military feel more realistic than ever. In Europe, a lot of the members of the royal families put in their time in the military in their respective countries. Prince William and Prince Harry did. And now, someone is suggesting it’s Barron Trump’s time. Yes, really.
A former South Park writer has launched a website calling for President Trump’s youngest son, Barron, to be drafted into the military. “America is strong because its leaders are strong. President Trump proves that every day. Naturally, his son Barron is more than ready to defend the country his father so boldly commands,” Toby Morton wrote on the website, which features pictures of Barron, who is 19.

“Service is honor. Strength is inherited. Dog bless Barron,” the header of the site reads.
Morton has styled himself as a creator of “anti-fascist websites,” and launched this particular site after the recent military campaign against Iran.
“This site is dedicated to honoring the strongest and bravest voices in war. When power is projected abroad, it is only right that strength exists at home. If you’re looking for proven genes, inherited courage, and unquestionable resolve, look no further than the Trump family. Leadership starts somewhere,” the “About Us” section of the website reads.
It also includes fake testimonials from Eric and Don Jr., as well as President Trump himself.
This is not Morton’s first rodeo. He’s made a website mocking political figures like Elon Musk, former NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. And this type of humor is very much in line with South Park, which has mocked Trump relentlessly.
Of course, it’s all a joke. There have been no discussions about reinstituting a draft. In the US, the armed forces have been volunteer-only since 1973. However, all American men aged 18-25 are still required to register for the Selective Service System, which keeps a database of military-aged men just in case conscription ever becomes necessary.
Ironically, even if a draft were reinstated in the next few years, Barron Trump would likely be exempt. And no, it’s not because he’s the President’s son. It’s because of his height. Yes, Barron is literally too tall to serve in the military. The youngest Trump stands at 6-foot-9, and the US Army has a 6-foot-8 maximum height requirement. This is due to the fact that taller individuals have problems fitting comfortably in standard military vehicles.
Recently, the news about the youngest Trump has had to do with privacy, with his mother, first lady Melania Trump, reportedly being very firm with people about her son’s boundaries. “This isn’t about politics or religion. It’s about trust,” another insider added. “[Melania] has always tried to shield him from the spotlight.” This reportedly led to some changes. “Melania’s circle is circulating reminders about confidentiality,” a source revealed. “Everyone who works with the family knows: leaks will not be tolerated,” a source told Rob Shuter.
