Police Confirm if Rihanna Was Injured After a Shooting at Her House While the Singer Was Inside
Rihanna’s home in Beverly Hills was the scene of a shooting on Sunday, March 8, 2026. The news was reported by the Los Angeles Times. Rihanna was inside the home at the time of the shooting, according to reports.
The details about what happened and why are still unclear, but a law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times that the shooting was reported around 1:15 p.m. PT on Sunday. The report indicates that a woman allegedly fired several shots at the house from her vehicle, a white Tesla, from across the property’s gate. One round penetrated the walls of the house.
Bullet holes were found in the gate, and an RV that was parked outside the property, but no injuries were reported inside the house.
The Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said that a 30-year-old female suspect had been arrested, but she has not yet been publicly identified, and no motive has been revealed. The woman fled in a white Tesla after the shooting, with police following the car to a shopping center in Sherman Oaks, where she was arrested about 30 minutes after the 911 call.
LAPD announced that they found “an assault rifle and seven casings” in the car.
The singer lives in Beverly Hills with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children, RZA, Riot, and Rocki, who is only five months old. Reports are unclear about who else was in the house at the time this took place.
Rihanna has mostly made news in the past few years because of her relationship with A$AP Rocky and her business, Fenty. The couple recently welcomed their third baby, a girl. Before giving birth to Rocki, Rihanna had two boys, and in the lead-up to the birth, both she and A$AP Rock discussed their desire to have a girl.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he told Elle. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”
He also added, “I feel like it’s going to be a girl,” and explained. “This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
Rihanna had previously told Interview magazine in 2024, “I don’t know what god wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy,” she said.
It was not; they got their girl. And with three kids already, that doesn’t mean she is done adding to the family. When asked how many kids she was planning on having, she also said in that same interview, “As many as god wants me to have.”
At the Smurfs premiere, Rocky said something similar. “We’re going to be like the Wayans family, you know?” he told Entertainment Tonight, referencing the family of 10. “I mean, love is beautiful, and it’s just spreading it.”
