With rumors about King Charles’ health swirling, particularly in the wake of his brother Andrew’s arrest for suspicion of misconduct in office, there have been questions about Prince Harry and his relationship with his father. Have the two fully reconciled? If so, will they be meeting again sometime soon? The King, after all, continues to battle cancer and has reportedly been greatly affected by what has transpired with Andrew.

Reportedly, the father and son will be meeting soon, according to RadarOnline. “Charles is expected to come in April,” said a royal insider. Charles will officially travel to the US on a state visit to attend events around the 250th anniversary of the independence of the US. The trip is being described as a way to “revitalize” U.K.-U.S. ties.

But it won’t be all work for Charles. “But on the agenda will definitely be a meeting with Harry. Charles wants to see his son – and his grandkids,” an insider said. The King reportedly hasn’t seen his grandkids since 2022.

“He will be delighted to see them again,” the source said.

Prince William will be traveling to the US as well, but sources don’t expect the brothers to meet. “While Charles is hoping to mend his relationship with Harry, William wants no part of it. And that’s likely never going to change,” the source said.

All of this comes as other sources tell RadarOnline that the King is planning to abdicate soon. “King Charles is going to step down. He is going to abdicate, and they are going to use the excuse of his health, which has been declining because [the situation with Andrew] has been very stressful and almost too much for him to bear,” a royal insider said.

The source went on to add, “Charles knew more than he let on, and the whole family has been covering this up. They are all complicit. The whole [royal] machine is complicit in this — from the top down!”

Not just that, the source says it will happen as early as this summer, which puts the king on a little bit of a time crunch. “The situation is getting worse and worse by the day,” a palace insider explained. “Everybody knows Prince William has been ruthless from the beginning about removing his uncle. He’s going to do nothing to protect Andrew.”

Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack had also reported, on March 2, that Charles is expected to step down within the year. “The transition will look measured and dignified. Health provides the most unassailable explanation,” the source said, a reference to Charles‘ battle with cancer. “Charles will not be seen as pushed,” the source added. “He has waited a lifetime for this role. When he steps back, it will be entirely on his terms.”

But reports indicate the transition has already started. “In many ways, he’s already king unofficially. The institution is preparing emotionally, even if the paperwork hasn’t caught up,” the source said. The insider continued, “The monarchy survives because it adapts before it has to. If there’s a handover, it won’t feel like surrender. It will feel inevitable.”
