The wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos was one of the social events of 2025. The couple got married in a ceremony in Venice attended by a who’s who of A-list stars, including the Kardashians, Oprah, and Leonardo DiCaprio. And now, Sánchez is opening up about that day and what it meant to have her family there with her for such a special occasion.

Speaking with Extra to promote her second children’s book, The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea, she said about the wedding and the celebration that followed, “We did tear up the dance floor. We had so much fun,” adding, “It was really incredible being there with, you know, all of our kids, our family, our best friends, and we danced all night. It was really, really fun.”

She explained that the couple’s children were involved. “All of our kids gave speeches, mine and Jeff’s, and they were all so meaningful,” she told the outlet. “My daughter gave a speech during the ceremony, this was before we said our vows, and [I] started bawling. Like, I could not- I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh’ right before the pictures.”

“And so all of our kids gave these speeches and they were all extremely emotional and loving and I think they made the wedding what it was,” she added.

Per Vogue, both her sons walked her down the aisle.

This comes after a recent lawsuit against Sanchez, which claims stole an ex-friend’s idea for a children’s book, also mentioned that before marrying Bezos, Sánchez was interested in Bill Clinton.

“In communications with Sánchez, Zabel sometimes used the name ‘Monica’ to refer to Sánchez,” according to the lawsuit, a reference to yoga instructor Alanna Zabel, who used to be close to Sánchez.

“She said [Clinton] was so sexy and mesmerizing,” Zabel told The Post, per Page Six. “She really wanted to meet him and get an interview … She couldn’t stop talking about Bill Clinton.”

In fact, Zabel claims she “seemed to have enjoyed this nickname.”

The lawsuit alleges Sánchez’s 2024 book “The Fly Who Flew to Space” took plot points, story arcs, and subject matter from Zabel’s own book, “Dharma Kitty Goes to Mars,” which was published a year before.

Lawyers for Sánchez responded with the following. “The works are not similar other than the fact that they are both children’s books that involve a spontaneous trip to space,” adding that Zabel “does not own the concept of a school-age character unexpectedly taking a trip to and from space.”

They also pushed back against Zabel’s other claims, writing that Zabel “attacks [Sánchez] with irrelevant allegations that she is jealous of Plaintiff, ‘harbor[s] resentment towards,’ and is out ‘to exact revenge’ or is ‘trolling’ Plaintiff.”

“Those allegations are irrelevant to a copyright infringement analysis, but are clearly intended to color this Court against Ms. Sánchez in the hope that it will think there is no smoke without fire. This Court should disregard them.”
