The former prince Andrew’s arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office has put everyone in his family in the spotlight. And, as the British royal family tries to put some distance between themselves and Andrew amid questions of how much they knew and how much they protected him, his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have been scrutinized more than anyone else.

But for Fergie, it’s not just about proximity. She herself appears in the Epstein files, not casually, but in numerous occasions. That has made people speculate that she could be next on law enforcement’s radar, or at the very least, that she will be questioned regarding Andrew. But Ferguson hasn’t been seen in public since last year. So, where is she?

Ferguson is believed to be abroad and has reportedly spent time at wellness centers in Switzerland and Ireland in the last few months, but it is unclear where exactly she’s staying these days. Per People, “Sarah Ferguson‘s whereabouts remain unknown following the arrest of her ex-husband.” She does not appear to be staying with either of her daughters, be it in their primary residences or in the royal homes they still maintain.

Beatrice has an apartment at St. James’s Palace, while Eugenie has Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace. Both maintain these as second residences and have reportedly done so at their father’s urging. “The [rental] deal was made with their father as he wanted them to have a foothold in the royal palaces,” a source told The Times. It is unknown if and when Fergie plans to return to the UK and where she will stay when she does.

When Andrew was stripped of his royal titles, and he and Fergie were ordered to vacate Royal Lodge, Beatrice and Eugenie maintained their titles and were still invited to spend Christmas with the family at Sandringham.

Reports about Fergie, meanwhile, indicate she might not be so eager to come back to the UK. The Sun reported that one email chain from the Epstein files references one of Ferguson’s employees, with Epstein asking associate David Stern, “Who talks?” regarding a negative piece about Fergie. Stern wrote back, “No idea! Details in the article seem very accurate.” Epstein then replied, “I know she called me yesterday…[J]ohnny blah blah.” Stern answered: “She is terrified about Johnny. He must know some dirty stuff.”

A source recently told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack that Fergie is hiding in the United Arab Emirates, where she’s staying with a wealthy friend who’s offered her security, privacy, and refuge after Andrew’s arrest. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source added, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”

We know Andrew’s homes and offices were raided. We know the investigation into him continues. Could Fergie be next? It wouldn’t be that shocking.
