Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been drawn into the scandal surrounding their parents, the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. It’s to be expected after it is revealed that both their parents appear numerous times in the Epstein files, and their father was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office. But the scandal is reportedly now affecting them more personally.
Both are reportedly having issues at home with their husbands amid the scandal. Beatrice has been married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi for five years, and the pair share two daughters, Sienna and Athena. Meanwhile, Eugenie has been married for seven years, and has two sons with her husband, August and Ernest.

Heat reported that “The princesses are devastated by what’s happening – their worlds are falling apart. Jack and Edo are both doing their best to be supportive, but the strain is affecting their home life. Their view of their parents has been irreparably shattered, they’re facing social ruin, and now Jack and Edo have been dragged into the drama, as they are facing questions about Andrew – it’s mortifying. Obviously, it’s not the girls’ fault, but that doesn’t mean it’s not causing tension.”
The sisters are widely seen as innocent in their parents’ dealings, but there are still questions being asked after a leaked email from June 2011 showed Andrew pushing for his daughters to receive £50,000 each in payments from billionaire Jonathan Rowland. There’s no confirmation whether the payments were made or not. However, as the investigation into Andrew continues, the reality of these payments and perhaps others could come into light.
Neither Beatrice nor Eugenie has made a statement since Andrew’s arrest, and there’s “debate” about whether doing so would help protect their families. “Jack and Edo want to know how long this is going to drag on. Both Eugenie and Beatrice have so far chosen to remain silent, and there are certainly some people who wonder if they’re doing the right thing by keeping so tight-lipped and feel they’d be better off speaking out.”
The source added, “If they were to come out decisively against their parents, it would draw a line in the sand and put people more at ease, no doubt also making things easier for their husbands.”
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail recently reported that emotionally, it’s been hard for the two. “Both girls are very highly strung and emotional, like their mother,” a royal source said. “Beatrice is trying to come to terms with it matter-of-factly, although can’t help bursting into tears regularly – not for her father but for the implosion of her own world and, especially, the family’s cold shoulder. Her royal status means more to her than Eugenie.” Basically, “Beatrice can’t stop crying and Eugenie has her head in the sand.”
Her sister, meanwhile, “has apparently gone into denial – fingers in the ears, head in the sand, hoping it will all go away.”
That seems pretty much impossible at this point. Now the question is, what will the princesses do next to separate themselves from their parents?
