King Charles is desperately trying to do damage control around the Andrew scandal. That part is understandable, at least. Andrew got support from his mother and his brother, who looked the other way for many years, but at this point, there’s very little Charles can do other than cut his brother off. The scandal, after all, threatens to hurt the entire institution, and that’s something the King desperately wants to avoid.

But what about Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie? Andrew has already been banished to Sandringham and stripped of his titles. Sarah Ferguson, his ex-wife, is nowhere to be found these days. But Andrew’s daughters have retained their titles and place in the royal family. They were even invited to spend Christmas with the rest of the royals.

However, debates over their titles have intensified lately amid reports that Andrew pushed for his daughters to receive £50,000 in payments from billionaire Jonathan Rowland, presumably in exchange for classified information. However, PR expert Lynn Carratt from E20 Communications is clear that the two should not be drawn into the controversy surrounding their father.

Lynn said removal of their titles would “risk creating public backlash,” a very clear four-letter warning. “Their roles as royal princesses and as private individuals carving out their own careers and identities remain separate from Andrew’s controversies,” she said. “Retaining their titles maintains fairness, respects their personal achievements, and avoids unnecessary complications for the Royal Family.”

She told GB News: “Removing them could create more headlines for all the wrong reasons and inadvertently draw attention to the very issue they have no part in.”

Of course, considering the two are featured in the Epstein files, suggesting they accompanied their mother to meet Epstein right after he was released from prison, the calls for some accountability are still loud.

RadarOnline had recently suggested that the two could end up facing consequences for their parents’ decisions. “There is a real concern that Prince William wants their heads on the chopping block as part of a harder line on which royals should remain publicly associated with the institution,” a source told the outlet. “Beatrice and Eugenie feel like they are living in horrific limbo. They have spent years carefully building respectable private lives, yet the fallout from their parents’ controversies keeps circling back to them.”

Heat recently reported that “The princesses are devastated by what’s happening – their worlds are falling apart. Jack and Edo [their husbands] are both doing their best to be supportive, but the strain is affecting their home life. Their view of their parents has been irreparably shattered, they’re facing social ruin, and now Jack and Edo have been dragged into the drama, as they are facing questions about Andrew – it’s mortifying. Obviously, it’s not the girls’ fault, but that doesn’t mean it’s not causing tension.”

Some expect them to put out a statement condemning their parents. “Jack and Edo want to know how long this is going to drag on. Both Eugenie and Beatrice have so far chosen to remain silent, and there are certainly some people who wonder if they’re doing the right thing by keeping so tight-lipped and feel they’d be better off speaking out.”

Will they? And will they keep their titles? We surely have not heard the latest on this saga.
