With so little in the way of real information about what happened to Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy, it’s no wonder that law enforcement is now looking at everyone in the neighborhood and everything she might have done in the days and weeks leading up to the abduction. Police have surveillance photos and video, and even DNA, but no suspect has been identified yet, and no motive has been disclosed. And over a month and a half after the kidnapping, time is of the essence.
Now, investigators believe they have the last known footage of Nancy Guthrie riding in an Uber the day before she was kidnapped. The surveillance video hasn’t been released to the public, but Crime Stories with Nancy Grace reported it was seized by police early on in the investigation.

In the footage, Guthrie is in an Uber on her way to her daughter Annie Guthrie’s house.
“The Uber driver turned over all the video from inside the vehicle,” Crime Stories investigative reporter Dave Mack said. “This was looked at by the investigation. They found nothing of substance of anything of Nancy Guthrie in the vehicle, anything she said, her demeanor, nothing was mentioned.”
He also added, “They interviewed the Uber driver at length. And again, there was nothing to report. It was just a regular pick up and drop off.” It is, however, proof that the police are leaving no stone unturned in the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
This comes after reports that police are looking at an empty house in the neighborhood where Guthrie lived. Speaking to Parade, retired Pima County SWAT commander Bob Krygier said that the house could have been used as a “home base or staging location” for the suspect(s).
“They could look at [that location] as [a] possible home base or staging location for the suspect(s). It would provide them a cover story to be at those locations at different times,” Krygier said, adding that the home would allow them to stay “a little bit more ‘under the radar’ to see the activity of the neighborhood, to see the comings and goings of people, the timing of things of all the people, [including] Nancy.”
News Nation’s senior investigative reporter Brian Entin had previously revealed on an episode of Brian Entin Investigates that the FBI had returned to the neighborhood where Nancy lived to ask more questions.
“Some of the things that they’re talking about is there’s one neighbor that moved out before Nancy disappeared, and they are asking more questions about that situation,” Entin said. “Not to say that that has anything to do with what happened. But that is something the FBI agents are asking about.”
Nancy has been missing since February 1, when she was reported missing by the Guthrie family after she didn’t show up to church. The night before, she had dinner with her daughter Annie and her son-in-law, who dropped her off at her house. They were the last people to see her.
The reward for information about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance is up to $1 million
