Since her boyfriend’s team won the AFC Championship, the big question of the day is whether Taylor Swift will attend the Super Bowl to cheer on Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 on Sunday January 28, 2024, and the way the couple greeted each other afterward was probably the most talked-about moment of the whole broadcast.
Taylor’s presence at her boyfriend’s football games has been a spectacle for the whole season. Her first appearance occurred when she showed up for their win against the Chicago Bears. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show on Sept. 21, Travis revealed that he had invited Taylor to watch him play football since he’d already seen her in concert. “I threw the ball in her court. I told her, I’ve seen you rock a stage in Arrowhead and you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead,” he said. “We’ll see what happens in the near future.”
Of course, it all started out with a fateful friendship bracelet at the Eras Tour. During an episode of the podcast New Heights in July 2023 (which Travis Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason) the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs star revealed that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with the digits of his phone number before her concert for her Eras Tour at the Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs home ground. In a video of Taylor in a suite at the Chiefs game against the Green Bay Packers, she can be seen saying “Come on, Trav!” Similarly, Travis called Taylor “Tay” in an episode of his podcast New Heights which he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.
Then, as the Chiefs celebrated their AFC Championship win, Taylor ran onto the field. “What’s up Sweetie?” Travis said to her before they embraced. “How about that?” There’s another clip where Taylor tells him “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.” Travis did have a stellar game—116 yards and a touchdown. Now, of course, as her Eras Tour kicks off on the other side of the world, everyone is wondering if Taylor Swift is attending the Super Bowl because there is a way she could do both.

Is Taylor Swift attending the Super Bowl? It’s the big question of the day and a source told Page Six that yes, the “Cruel Summer” singer will make it to the big game, despite her packed Eras Tour schedule that begins in Japan on February 7.
“It’s a brutal flight, but she’ll get on her plane right after the concert,” the insider said. Her last show at the Tokyo Dome is on February 10, one day before the game at Allegiant Stadium on February 11. Kick off is 3.30 pm local time (6.30pm ET).
A direct flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas (obviously she’ll be flying her own jet so there’ll be no layovers), takes 13 hours. Given that Tokyo is 17 hours ahead, she’s got an advantage as she goes “back in time” across the international date line. In theory, she could make it to Vegas a whole 20 hours before kick-off and we have no doubt her team will be working hard to make it happen. Taylor doesn’t perform again until February 16 in Melbourne, Australia, so she’d have a few days to enjoy the post-Super Bowl revelry should the Chiefs take home their fourth trophy since 2019.
Taylor and Travis’ love story began in July 2023, when a mysterious matchmaker—now revealed to be her cousin, Danny—introduced Swift to Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. During one of his episodes, Kelce revealed how much he wanted to meet Swift and exchange numbers with her after attending her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City.
He later explained more of the backstory in a November 2023 interview with the Wall Street Journal, telling the magazine that Swift reached out after listening to his episode. “She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out,” he shared, adding, “I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f—ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
Many pro football stars, including Travis boss Clark Hunt, have commended Swift for bringing a new audience to the sport. Speaking of whom, the Kansas City Chiefs owner has been witness to Swift and Kelce’s relationship—and he opened up about the pair in a recent interview to address speculation that their relationship is all a “marketing stunt.”
During his recent appearance on Mad Money on CNBC, Hunt gushed about the couple, dispelling any notions of their relationship being orchestrated. “Well, first of all, we’re so happy for Travis Kelce and Taylor in their relationship. I’ve had a chance to meet her at one of the many games that she’s attended this year,” Hunt shared. “She’s just as sweet as she can be. I also got to see her play here [at our Arrowhead Stadium] twice this past summer and what an incredible performer. I mean, just one of the most incredible artists of our time.”
He continued, “It’s been a very interesting, very fun year having the two of them dating. The attention that’s been focused on the Chiefs, our female audience has grown leaps and bounds. That’s right, it was purely organic.”
