They were together for four years—married for two—in the mid-2000s and share two children. When she was asked about his new relationship development, Usher’s ex-wife Tameka reacted to him remarrying before the Super Bowl in the nicest way you’d expect.

Speaking with TMZ, the fashion designer brushed off questions about it as well as public intrigue: “I thought he’d been married, I don’t know, I stopped keeping up with that type of thing,” she said. “I don’t keep up with his personal life, but he’s a good dad, that’s what I care about. And he’s a dope performer.”

Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea, a music executive, started dating in 2019. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sovereign Bo, in 2020. Their second child, a son named Sire Castrello, was born in 2021.

They obtained a marriage license on February 8, 2024, in Clark County, Nevada, three days before he performed the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in Las Vegas, according to court records obtained by TMZ. According to the website, Usher and Goicoechea haven’t filed their marriage certificate yet. The license gives Usher and Goicoechea one year to get married in Clark County before it expires, per TMZ.
