Ben Affleck’s Icy Treatment of Jennifer Lopez’s Kids Revealed Amid Their Divorce
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have a different way of treating their kids. The “On The Floor” singer reportedly is close to all of the kids from her previous marriages, but Ben Affleck has a different approach to a blended family— even post-divorce.
A source reported to People that Jennifer Lopez is “still close to [Jennifer] Garner and all five kids,” but Affleck “has not been in touch with her kids.” Ben Affleck has three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. Meanwhile, Lopez has twins from her marriage with Marc Anthony, Emme and Max, 16.
“[Jennifer] went out there and told the world what a great dad he was,” the source says. “The fact that he has not seen her kids in a long time, it’s like he left, but she is especially close to his kids,”
The source also disclosed that Jennifer also keeps in touch with her exes’ kids from previous relationships. “But she’s also close to Marc’s kids from [his] previous relationship,” the source said of Marc Anthony’s five other children. “She keeps in touch with the children and she’s a good mom.”

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20, 2024, two years after their big wedding in Ben’s estate. All of their kids were in attendance at the Georgia wedding. “Family is very important to both of them, and together they were family people — and the connection doesn’t end,” a source previously told the outlet.
In Touch Weekly was the first to report that Ben and Jen were seemingly headed for divorce on May 15, 2024. “The writing is on the wall—it’s over. They’re headed for a divorce—and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!” a source told the outlet. “He’s focusing on his work and his kids now. Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
