Got a couple million to spare and a penchant for debauchery, parties, and buxom female models? Then you’re in luck because the Playboy Mansion is on the market.
Legendary lothario Hugh Hefner and Playboy Enterprises are apparently looking to sell the notorious six-acre estate for $200 million.
If the price seems unrealistically steep for a glorified party house, that’s because it probably is. According to TMZ, the “real value is the acreage,” and comparable property in the area has recently sold for $60 million; however sources say “because of its history, the Mansion could go for anywhere between $80 mil and $90 mil.”
The sale only adds to a general feeling of this being the end of an era at Playboy, with the magazine’s decision to stop publishing full nudes of women last fall.
In addition to shelling out serious dough, whoever the lucky buyer is will also have a built-in roommate—and no, it’s not a Playmate. Apparently, Hefner will require the buyer to give him a life estate, which means that he’ll continue to live and party in the mansion until he dies. So there’s that.
