Hey Aaron Paul, Dissing Your Exes to Prove You Love Your Wife Is Kind of a Dick Move
Today, in men that should probably refrain from posting on social media (so far, Kanye West has taken the cake for this), Aaron Paul reminds us all why brevity is the soul of wit.
You might know the rakishly handsome actor for his critically-acclaimed, beloved role as Jesse Pinkman on “Breaking Bad,” but you might also know him for his boundless, gushing (and very, very public) love for his wife, Lauren Parsekian, which somehow makes its way into countless interviews and on all his social media accounts. Anyway, Paul took to his Instagram account last night to promote his new movie, “Triple 9” and in the process, wrote a love letter that put his “angelic goddess” of a wife on a pedestal at the expense of all his exes—an incredibly unnecessary, misogynistic, and immature move.
In his own words: “I just want to give a shout out to all of my ex’s right now. Some of you were incredible women and it was just never the right fit for us, some of you were pretty crazy and I felt like I was losing my mind but I wish you all the best, but all of you have something incredible in common. You all led me to her. So thank you for that. Ok bye.”
Naturally, several women’s sites are absolutely swooning over his message, but it left us feeling cold. Public displays of affection are fine and dandy, Aaron, and more power to you for being so crazy in love, but next time, keep your exes out of it. Adoring your wife and respecting other women don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
