Taylor Swift Gave an Award-Worthy Speech at Her Best Friend’s Wedding

Just when you thought every woman in Taylor Swift’s friendship group (or yes, #squad) was a Victoria’s Secret model or award-winning pop star, she delivered a killer speech at her (non-famous) best friend’s wedding.

As maid of honor, the “Bad Blood” singer spoke at the wedding of her friends Britany Maack and Ben LaManna, saying the pair was one of the “best love stories.” Cute, Tay.

“He would chase her and pursue her through middle school and junior high and high school, and their paths would diverge, and then come back together, and it would be so magically unpredictable but at the same time, so incredibly fated, just like the best love stories are,” Swift said, a line that we assume will be the inspiration for her next album.

She goes on to say that maintaining her friendship with the bride is her “favorite accomplishment” (really, not your 10 Grammys?) and that the pair has been besties forever: “She was my partner in crime at Brownies sleepaway camp and she was my date to the Grammys. And little did either of us know that prince charming for Britany would be the kid that sat next to me in class with a bowl cut and a Lego lunchbox.”
