Kate Hudson, Potential Cougar, Snapchats Her Date with 27-Year-Old NFL Star J.J. Watt
Kate Hudson is officially a cougar. First, she was linked to Nick Jonas; now she’s having some fun with footballer J.J. Watt. The Houston Texans defensive end starred on K-Hud’s Snapchat last night, practically shouting from the rooftops that they were on a date, and though he’s older than Jonas, it’s not by much—Watt is 27 to Jonas’s 23. For those keeping score, Hudson will be 37 next week. High-five, Hudson!
The pair utilized the star lens, which makes white tiara-like stars appear around a person’s head on Snapchat. In a series of four videos, Hudson and Watt basically made a documentary of their date. Part one was captioned, “JJ don’t get no stars….? This is not right,” and shows both stars mugging for the camera—but the stars appear only around Hudson’s face. “How come I don’t get the tiara?” Watt asks. “I don’t know,” Hudson replies. In the background, piano music burbles along and glasses tinkle—chic. They are obviously at a restaurant. “I’m not worthy of the stars. I’m not worthy of the stars!” Watt laments. Hudson lets loose a very infectious laugh. End scene.
In part two, captioned, “Snapchat…. Give him some stars!” Watt says, “Come on. Show me the stars. Gimme them. Come on. Damn it, Snapchat, gimme the stars!” More giggles from Hudson.
Part three finds Watts getting pissed: “I’m just gonna steal your stars. Gimme them. Gimme them. You gotta be kidding me.” Nope, no dice.
Part four is the money shot, though. Hudson must be psychic, saying, “This is gonna be the one, J.J.” At first, Watts seems skeptical: “Apparently, the stars belong to the hottest person on the date,” he says. Then, miracle of all miracles: They appear! “Ohhhhh!” both, um, stars yell.
These two are adorable, so let’s all hope they see lots more of each other soon—and record their dates on Snapchat.
