‘I’m a Feminist,’ Says Kylie Jenner, Inspiration for Young Girls Everywhere
It’s so easy to write Kylie Jenner off as one-dimensional just because she reads only Pretty Little Liars and credits dyeing her hair blue with changing her life, but don’t judge a book by its lip augmentation—she’s a complicated girl with a lot of complicated feelings, like not believing in life after 30. To wit, here’s something you may not have known about Kylie: She’s a proud feminist, and she’s not afraid to say it!!!
“I consider myself a feminist,” she told Glamour UK, point blank, no “I’m a humanist” bullshit. “I’m a young woman, for one thing, and I don’t depend on a man or anybody else. I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I’m an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own.”

Very good, Kylie, very good. Calling yourself a feminist, even if you think feminism should involve making your own money and having your own businesses, is the first step in becoming an enlightened human being. Can’t say the same for Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, both of whom have made a point of declaring that they are not feminists. Oh, you girls, when will you learn?
