Where to Pre-Order ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ so You Get It the Morning It Drops

Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is set to drop October 3—a date all of us Swifties have had marked on our calendar in orange marker ever since the announcement on Travis and Jason Kelce‘s podcast New Heights back in August. Since then, Swift has been dropping special editions of her album cover, the art heavily hinting to what the album is going to sound like.

Walmart
What I like about Walmart’s pre-order deal is that it’s possibly the most…swift. Wink wink. If you pre-order through Walmart, you get free delivery by 7 a.m. on launch day (aka, Oct 3). That applies to The Life of a Showgirl: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume Portofino vinyl.
Target
Target has been a long-time retailer partner of Taylor, so it’s no surprise that the store has its own exclusive vinyl edition of The Life of a Showgirl. The Target edition even has its own subtitle: “The Crowd Is Your King.” The packaging is pinky-peach sparkles, and is labeled as “Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl.” It comes with a poster, poem by Swift, and never-before-seen photos.
Plus, Target is selling three exclusive CD (complete with posters, album art, and booklets) editions: “It’s Beautiful,” “It’s Frightening,” and “It’s Rapturous.”
Delivery date: If pre-ordered before Oct 1, your album(s) will be delivered on Oct 3.
Best Buy
Best Buy is technically an option, although it’s $1 more expensive than either Walmart or Target. The retailer says that you’ll receive the vinyl on release day, so if you happen to be shopping for other products on Best Buy and want to bundle in Life of a Showgirl, you can!

Of course Amazon is an option for quick delivery, but it’s the most expensive option. You can snag the vinyl or CD version of The Life of a Showgirl: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume.

And of course, there’s always ordering through Swift’s site (though, if you want the Summer Spritz Pink version, it’ll actually lead you back to Target!). What buying through TaylorSwift.com offers you: The chance to pre-order Life of a Showgirl CDs with a hand-signed photo (order by September 28).
“I just wanted the fans to have as many images from this sort of world, this album era, as possible,” Swift said in an interview posted September 20 via Taylor Nation’s Instagram. “And so I really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product and the best packaging and the best CD experience that they could have,” she added.
Swift continued, “The CDs all have photo cards in them. The vinyls, they each have a poem inside of them, a unique poem. They’ve got more images than we ever planned to put in there.”
