It caught us off guard in the best way possible! Beyoncé’s Super Bowl commercial dropped hints at new music and also had one of the most iconic collaborations with none other than Tony Hale (Buster Bluth from Arrested Development). The Verizon commercial aired during the third quarter and the Bey Hive is still freaking out.
Clocking in just a minute, Queen Bey did her thing and challenged Verizon’s unbreakable 5G network by making herself into AI, making references to Barbie (Bar-bey if you will), playing the saxophone oh-so elegantly, running as the Beyoncé Of The United States, and even rocket-launching herself into space for the “First Performance in Space.” She also made several throwbacks to her old music like standing at a Lemonade stand while holding a baseball bat (in reference to te music video of “Hold Up” from that album) as well as “Break My Soul.”

What actually broke the real-life internet (the one that’s not in the Super Bowl) is Beyoncé hinting at new music soon. As she’s flying away in her rocket at the last possible second, she exclaims, “Okay, they ready! Drop the new music.” But is it true? Are we getting new music after this Super Bowl?
Fans were already on the lookout for the new music as soon as the Super Bowl commercial dropped. “The internet looking for Béyonce’s “new music” after that Verizon commercial,” one fan posted with a GIF from SpongeBob that shows Bikini Bottom on fire with the citizens panicking. “Beyoncé said drop the new music and they’re still playing this game like nothing happened ??” another person posted on X.

Well, good news for the Bey Hive! Beyoncé is releasing Act II on March 29, 2024. The teaser on her website includes her driving through a desert road that references her home state of Texas. Two tracks that are included in the 16-track album are “Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” She released “Texas Hold ‘Em” right after the album announcement.
