Ariana Grande‘s new song, “Focus,” is here—and, just a warning, it’s insanely catchy.

Grande herself acknowledges that the two-month wait was lengthy: “This countdown is long af,” she wrote on Instagram, 40 days ahead of the release, “but it’s OK because our countdowns are one of my favorite parts about putting out new music!!!”

Since the September announcement that she’d be releasing new music, the pop star has been sharing snippets of her new song on Instagram and Twitter until giving us the whole damn thing followed by the full video. “Surprise !!!! it’s here!!!! My new single #Focus is now available on @iTunes / @AppleMusic,” Grande wrote on Twitter and Instagram.

“Focus” is the first peek at Grande’s upcoming album, Moonlight, and has actually been finished and awaiting release since May 5.

On the surface, “Focus” sounds like the kind of house party–friendly pop sound we’ve come to expect (and love) from Grande—even if the video and album art show a surprise hair color change. However, in one teaser video released earlier this month, she explained a heavier meaning behind the single: “When I say ‘focus on me,’ I’m not asking to be the center of attention. I’m not asking you to focus on my face or my clothes or my body or my singing voice. By ‘focus on me,’ I literally mean focus on me. Focus on what I’m all about and what I believe in.”

Songwriter and producer Savan Kotecha—who also worked on The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face”—partnered with Grande on the song.

You can listen to “Focus” through iTunes or Apple Music and see the video clip right here.
