Meet the New ‘Bachelorette’ Cast For Clare Crawley’s Season

When The Bachelorette 2020 cast and contestants were announced for Clare Crawley‘s season in March, Bachelor Nation members complained about how young many of the men were. At 39 years old, Clare is the oldest Bachelorette ever in Bachelor Nation history. Yet—so many of the men in The Bachelorette 2020 cast and contestants were in their early or mid-20s? Then quarantine happened and Chris Harrison heard our prayers.
Though season 16 of The Bachelorette was supposed to start filming in March, production was shut down before it even began because of…well…you know. Fast forward to July, and Clare’s season of The Bachelorette is back on. We have to full deets on how the season will be filmed here, but essentially, the The Bachelorette cast and crew (yes, including Chris Harrison) will be quarantined for a few months at a resort in Palm Springs, California, until filming is complete and Clare (hopefully) meets the man of her dreams.
However, those four months between March and July weren’t wasted. Instead, The Bachelorette producers used that time to interview more suitors for Clare and revise The Bachelorette 2020 cast and contestants completely. In March, 32 men were announced as part of The Bachelorette 2020 cast and contestants. We now have 42 suitors who could be Clare’s husband at the end of the season. But that doesn’t mean that everyone from the original Bachelorette 2020 cast and contestants is still on to film. Fifteen men were cut from the original batch (including Matt James, who will be The Bachelor for season 25). This means that a total of 25 new men were added to The Bachelorette 2020 cast and contestants. Thankfully, many of them are older than 30.
