Since it became the new CBS All Access, viewers have wondered if Paramount Plus is free and if they have a trial period. Paramount Plus launched in March 2021 as a streaming service for ViacomCBS programs such as Star Trek: Discovery, The Good Fight and 1883.
The site, which replaced CBS All Access and has more than 8 million subscribers, is the exclusive streaming service for ViacomCBS networks such as CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET and the Smithsonian channel. How much does Paramount Plus cost?
Unfortunately, Paramount+ is not free. The service offers two plans: ad-supported Essential Plan and an ad-free Showtime Plan, which also includes Showtime originals. Without any deals, the Essential Plan costs $8.99 per month, while the Showtime plan costs $13.99 per month. Paramount Plus also offers two yearly plans: The Essential plan costs $59.99 per year (which saves users 16 percent or around $12 from the monthly price) and the Showtime plan costs $119.99 per year (which saves users 16 percent or around $40 from the monthly price.)
