Wicked is a movie adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name, which was also based on a 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire. The story — which is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz — is set in the Land of Oz before Dorothy’s arrival rom Kansas. The story follows Elphaba, a green-skinned student at Whiz University and her journey to becoming the Wicked Witch of the West, as well as her unlikely friendship with her classmate Glinda the Good Witch of the North.
