The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On is and has always been a wild ride. Of all the Netflix reality TV dating shows this has always been the one we can trust to deliver the most drama, and that is a tall order considering Love is Blind and Too Hot to Handle exist. But the premise of The Ultimatum lends itself to it. This show isn’t about helping you find love, it’s about allowing you to “cheat” on your partner to help you figure out if they really are the one for you. Reality TV for you!
Let’s backtrack. The Ultimatum focuses on couples in which one partner is ready to get married, but the other one isn’t ready for the commitment. When the couple enters the experiment, they break up and proceed to date other people—chosen from the other couples also participating in the experiment—until they are ultimately matched up for a “trial marriage” for three weeks.

After that time, everyone returns to their original partner for three more weeks. Then, it’s time to make a decision. Do these couples want to get married, or break up, or does someone want to date the person they had the “trial marriage” with? Stranger things have happened.
Season 3 of The Ultimatum gave us two couples that left the experiment early, two couples that got engaged on Ultimatum day, and yet only one of those was still together during the reunion. Was that couple, Mariah and Caleb? Are Mariah and Caleb from The Ultimatum Season 3 still together?

The answer is yes, Mariah and Caleb from The Ultimatum Season 3 are not only still engaged during the reunion—which was filmed a year later, but they’re planning a destination wedding in summer 2026. It’s a good sign, they’re taking their time, but they have a firm date.
Despite that, they had some issues that they aired out during the reunion, including Aria, Caleb’s trial marriage partner accusing Caleb of liking her Instagram Stories and blocking and unblocking her on social media after getting engaged, and suggesting Caleb and Mariah’s relationship was fake. “I don’t believe you at all. I think You’re capping right now. You’re giving off mixed signals that you’re engaged and happy. The way you guys act sometimes, to me, is fake,” Aria told Caleb.

Mariah also called out Caleb for insisting that his connection to Aria was platonic even though the show clearly showed it was not, telling him that watching it all unfold was very hurtful, particularly when it became clear he’d lied to her.
“Leaving the show, it was a moment to restart building from a healthy place,” Caleb explained at one point, adding that he watched everyone’s stories. “I had to take accountability for my actions and really take note of who I had become in this,” he also said.
When Mariah and Caleb got engaged during the final episode, it was a really happy moment, “It’s so surreal right now. I can’t believe we’re engaged… This is what true happiness feels like,” Mariah said, and Caleb seemed over the moon too. “This was really the one last piece missing for me and to know I have such a strong man next to me in this, I feel really blessed.”
