Why Did Marcel & Gabby Break Up Before Love Island All Stars?
Love Island is known to get really messy, but what happens when you put two exes on the villa again? We’ve seen it happen with Molly Smith and Callum Jones, but Love Island UK’s Gabby Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen might want to give their shortlived romance a second chance.
Marcel and Gabby appeared in Love Island UK series 3 in 2017. The two came in fourth place after rivaling fellow couples Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood, Jamie Jewitt and Camila Thurlow, and Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay. They dated for nearly a year before inevitably splitting and moving on to new people. The two are set to appear in the South African villa in season two of Love Island All-Stars, so there is definitely a chance of the two giving it another go. But what do they truly think and why did their romance end in the first place?

Why did Marcel and Gabby break up before Love Island All-Stars?
Marcel and Gabby broke up because Marcel cheated on her. She left him after she discovered he was sleeping with another woman a year after they got together. A source told DailyMail, “They had a row one night so Gabby went back to their hotel room to sleep. Marcel started chatting to another woman at the bar where they kissed in full view of other guests.
They continued, “Marcel and the girl slept together in her room and he left and went back to Gabby’s room, but promised to see her the following day when Gabby was at the gym.”
Marcel confirmed the rumors when a rep for the star revealed, “Sadly the rumours are true, Gabby and Marcel have split up. Marcel can’t really defend his actions as he knows he did wrong and will regret it forever.”
They continued, “Marcel is upset that he broke the heart of someone he loves and someone that he shared so many special moments with, but with all the good times there are difficult times, and sadly Marcel and Gabby had been in a bad place at this stage. Gabby was a special part of [Marcel’s] life, and he hopes one day she can find it in herself to forgive him.”
Well after their breakup, Marcel accused Gabby of cheating on him with TOWIE star Dan Osborne. He told The Sun that “[a] mutual friend of Dan and I told me that Gabby and Dan were having sex in Marbella on their work trip, and also when they got back to England.”
Gabby denied the rumors with her rep telling The Sun, that “Gabby was 100% faithful during her relationship with Marcel.”
After their tumultuous breakup, Gabby moved on to date Myles Stephenson and Brandon Myers. Marcel moved on to marry Rebecca Veria, with whom has one child together. He is currently going through a divorce with her.
Though the two might have an awkward run-in in the Love Island All-Stars Villa. The two seem quite open about reuniting. “You can never say never, but obviously it’s all hypothetical, the boyband alum told DailyMail. “If she was in there I think it would probably be more of a situation of seeing what the energy was like between us and seeing if there was still that spark there. But like you know what I mean like it’s been seven years, the spark might not be reignited.”
Gabby shared the same sentiments. “Obviously, there’s the elephant in the room that my ex could possibly go in, but we haven’t seen each other for six years, she told the gossip site. “It’s been such a long time, there are no hard feelings, it is what it is. I don’t know if he’s going in, I don’t know how I can actually prepare for that. am basically preparing myself that he does come in and then if he does, I will cross that bridge when I come to it. I would actually just like to have a conversation with him and hopefully put it all behind us and have some sort of friendship.”
