With a lot of lineup changes, the Real Housewives of New York City is about to look even more different. The Bravo staple has showcased many incomparable personalities on the small screen, but we might see a brand-new cast in the upcoming seasons.
New York’s show premiered in 2008 and originally starred Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer, and Jill Zarin. After cast changes and dwindling reception, the show was canceled after the 13th season back in September 2021. On March 23, 2022, however, it was announced that the show would be returning for Season 14—with a brand-new cast.

The rebooted cast of RHONY included Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, Brynn Whitfield, Sai De Silva, and Erin Lichy, all of whom joined the show in Season 14, Rebecca Minkoff and Racquel Chevremont, who joined the main cast in Season 15.
While the cast hasn’t been confirmed for the 16th season, a source told Ok! Magazine, “No one in the cast has been asked back yet or been given a contract for Season 16.”
Rebecca Minkoff confirmed her departure on February 4, 2025. “2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever,” the designer shared on Instagram. “The last month has given me a new perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK.”
She attributed the leave to wanting to spend more time with her kids and business. “I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family,” Minkoff wrote. “I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter. Time to turn the page.”
Minkoff previously talked to StyleCaster about connecting her brand with a wider audience through Real Housewives. “I looked at how [the brand] has been in touch with our customer from the beginning—I realized these people have grown up with me,” Minkoff says. “So I thought, if I can show [them] another dimension of myself as an entertainer, a prankster, a girl’s girl—that just establishes more closeness to my customer.”
