Jong-hoon was the new addition to Inferno—without actually stepping into Inferno. When the girls were corralled into Paradise together without the men, they had to pick three of the guys to return with them. He caught Youjin’s eye, but their chemistry fizzled out when he had his eye on Hye-jin. The two had very wholesome moments on Inferno when they were taking Polaroid photos together and trying to sneak in private time together. Though You-jin picked him for their final Inferno date, he told Hye-jin he’s “never been swayed.”

When it came to decision day, Jong-hoon had no hesitation in picking out Hye-jin. “Thank you for showing up in the middle,” she said before ultimately choosing him.

Jong-hoon and Hye-jin haven’t directly confirmed that they’re still together. However, Jong-hoon has posted several fan edits of his date with You-jin on his Instagram story. He posted the edit where he fell asleep during their Inferno date and was snoring the night away. “I’m going to be teased for the rest of my life,” he wrote.
Nonetheless, the couple is very popular among fans. “They seem dedicated to each other and are very cute,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “I just wish we saw more of them; but I’m guessing they just had zero drama to show between them. I would love to see them just getting to know each other too, though.”
