Warning: Love Is Blind Season 8 spoilers ahead. Love Is Blind Season 8 has premiered, and it came with a lot of drama—including love triangles that ended up in heartbreak, and one contestant who might have known what the person on the other side looked like from the beginning. The Netflix reality show, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, focuses on a group of singles who not only commit to dating in pods without ever seeing each other – but to proposing marriage before they can find out what their prospective partner looks like.
The show, which often features a fair amount of drama, has done pretty well in the love department too. Two couples remain from Season 1, two from Season 3, three from Season 4, and one couple from Season 5, Season 6, and Season 7. All in all, a better track record than The Bachelor.

Season 8 of the show, set in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has just premiered, with 5 couples choosing to get engaged and continue the journey: Monica and Joey, Taylor and Daniel, Sara and Ben, Lauren and David, and Virginia and Devin. One of those couples, however, was hit by an unexpected roadblock right out of the pods. What happened between Taylor and Daniel? Are Taylor and Daniel still together from Love is Blind?
Are Taylor and Daniel still together from Love Is Blind Season 8?

Marriage documents provided by TMZ show that the only couple that made it out of Love Is Blind married were Daniel and Taylor. The Minnesota couple made their marital union official last March in Hennepin County.
Daniel and Taylor started out their relationship on the wrong foot. Or they started their relationship about as well as you can when you’re talking through a wall, but things took a turn after the pair got engaged and got to see each other for the first time. The meeting itself went okay, even if Taylor admitted she was still “getting used to putting the voice and the face and the mannerisms” together. But, after the meeting, Taylor’s doubts started.
At the end of episode 6, we see her speaking to the camera, and sharing that when the doors opened and she saw Daniel, he felt very familiar to her, but she didn’t know why. She went on to add that she had this “overwhelming feeling that when the doors opened, that was not the first time that he saw me.” She explains that a couple of months before filming, she got a follow request, and adds that she’s fairly positive Daniel followed her on Instagram and could have put together what she looked like from her Instagram and what they spoke.

She confronts Daniel with this information at the end of the episode, with Daniel saying he doesn’t remember ever following her on Instagram. With the show being released in batches—six episodes are now out—that means we don’t get to see the resolution of their conversation right away. Instead, we will have to wait until next Friday to find out if the two broke up right then and there or if Taylor decided to trust him that he didn’t follow her on Instagram and knew what she looked like and continue with the experiment.
But considering the strong connection they had in the pods, and the fact that the two very quickly narrowed in on each other, the most likely scenario is Taylor giving Daniel a chance to prove that he really is with her for the right reasons. Whether that means they make it down to the altar or not remains to be seen.
