Warning: Love Is Blind Season 8 spoilers ahead. We’re on Season 8 of Love Is Blind, so at this point, it feels like we’ve seen it all. But the season has still thrown a few curveballs our way. Like Taylor believing Daniel followed her on Instagram before meeting her and knew what she looked like. Or Dave being upset that Lauren was dating someone casually before they even met. And let’s not forget about the TikToks about Ben.
The Netflix reality show, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, follows a group of singles who commit to dating in pods and proposing marriage to their chosen partner without ever seeing each other. It’s the type of show that should not work, but it has. And it’s even done better than The Bachelor at having successful couples.

Season 8 of the show, set in Minneapolis, Minnesota had 5 couples exit the pods together: Monica and Joey, Taylor and Daniel, Sara and Ben, Lauren and David, and Virginia and Devin. One couple who seemed to be on different wavelengths from the start was Sara and Ben. But, what happened between Sara and Ben? Are Sara and Ben still together from Love is Blind?

Marriage records indicate the answer is no, the two did not get married. And after seeing their journey on the show, it’s pretty easy to see why. It was kind of surprising that Ben and Sara even made it out of the pods after Sara remarked that she was looking for a partner with the same values, something Ben never seemed to be. He did, after all, basically respond to her question about BLM by saying he’d never thought about it.
But the two seemed to get along pretty well outside the pods. It even felt like they had a chance at making the whole thing work. That is until Sara confronted Ben over some TikToks that were going viral. In the TikToks, a girl Ben had previously dated, spoke about him in less than flattering terms and expressed that she was tired of seeing men who treat women horribly be rewarded.

At the time, Ben had pretty conflicting explanations about what happened. First, he says they met on Tinder and went to dinner, but then he also says he doesn’t remember much about their relationship, claiming he’s a different person now. To that, Sara says, “I’m telling you now, if more comes out of this, if I find out there’s anything at all, I won’t be able to trust you.” She explained her thought process to Us Weekly in a recent interview, saying “She didn’t say anything specific other than him treating girls s—-y — and that can be taken in so many ways. I was like, ‘OK, what extent are we talking here? Should I be concerned for my safety?’ I didn’t feel unsafe by any means, but [I] don’t want to take this lightly if it’s something serious. But I also, like, I don’t want to take this super seriously if he was just a d-bag or something.”
As for how they navigated it, Sara shared, “I thought, ‘I’m not going to dismiss her with what she says, but I fell in love with you today — not four years ago.’ And I believe people can change and evolve. That’s who we are. We’re growing people. I didn’t want to discredit him and our relationship.”
So, after that, the two go through the rest of the process including picking a dress and walking down the aisle together. But as the penultimate batch of episodes ends with the question of whether they want to marry each other, we already know the answer will be no. Perhaps, after all of this, it was just not enough for Sara that Ben wanted to be the type of partner she dreamed of. Perhaps Sara wants to find someone who is that partner right now. And we can’t blame her for it.
