Litia also revealed to Grant that she’s typically only dated members of the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints like she is, but “it didn’t work out,” which is why she went on The Bachelor. Will they accept me?” Grant said of Litia’s family during Hometown Dates.

When does Litia go home on The Bachelor Season 29?

Litia was Grant’s runner-up and was sent home at the final rose ceremony in The Bachelor Season 29 finale, according to Reality Steve. Grant’s winner was Juliana Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old Client Service Associate from Newton, Massachusetts, while his third-place finalist was Zoe McGrady, a 27-year-old Tech Engineer and Model from Chester, Virginia.

Before The Bachelor Season 29 finale aired, host Jesse Palmer seemed to confirm that Grant’s winner was down to the last minute, as seen in a scene in the Season 29 trailer which showed Jesse pushing Grant to make a decision.

“It’s real,” Jesse told Us Weekly of the scene in January 2025. “And I don’t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, [but] I was surprised. That was something that I haven’t encountered yet as the host in the last four years on any of the franchises. Normally, I think, our leads have a little bit more clarity — a lot more clarity — heading into the final day. And I really think that’s how conflicted Grant really was.”

He continued, “They’re phenomenal every year for whoever our lead is [and] making that decision on the final day is always a very, very difficult decision, but I can appreciate some of why Grant was so conflicted. I’ll just say that. But absolutely without giving away too much, that was authentic and it’s real and it’s not an edit.”

Grant, for his part, however, seemed to deny Jesse’s assertion in an interview with Us Weekly in March 2025, in which he seemed to hint that he knew who he wanted to propose to during Hometown Dates. “I, honestly, was 100 percent sure because that’s what I came there for. I knew I was going to make things work,” he said. He went on to explain that his choice between his winner and runner-up “definitely wasn’t [down to] one hour.” Instead, the moment of indecision seen in the trailer was due to “external factors” that caused him to take a pause.

“I’ve always been a really decisive person in terms of my career and everything in that field. … In high school, I was a star athlete and had to decide what college I went to, what major,” he said.

Fans, however, aren’t convinced and believe Grant would’ve chosen Litia if it wasn’t for her Mormon background. “Litia was 100% Grant’s frontrunner. He gets conflicted because she’s Mormon and at the last second picks Juliana instead. #TheBachelor,” a user wrote on X. Another user wrote, “ooof Litia would absolutely no doubt be endgame if she weren’t Mormon 😭 that’s like the dealbreaker to end all dealbreakers #thebachelor.” One more user wrote, “litia def top 2 if not final 1…the mormon thing will prob be the reason why she won’t win #TheBachelor.”
