How Love Is Blind‘s Ollie ‘Tricked’ AD Into a Surprise Proposal Before the Reunion
Love Is Blind Season 8 is now in the rearview mirror and that means it’s time to look forward to other original Netflix reality dating shows. Because for the streamer, if it’s not one, it’s another. And they’re probably all, or most, hosted by Nick or Vanessa Lachey. One of the upcoming ones that fit that bill is Perfect Match Season 3, and the Love is Blind Season 8 reunion gave us a glimpse of what we can expect to see when it brings Love is Blind Season 6’s AD and Love is Blind UK’s Ollie.
But the reunion didn’t just bring those two for a tease, it basically spoiled the end of Perfect Match Season 3 by showing us their engagement. The couple, whose relationship had already pretty much been revealed by internet sleuths, got a televised proposal. However, even though AD said yes, since Love is Blind reunions aren’t live, that doesn’t exactly mean anything for the state of their relationship today.
Perfect Match hasn’t exactly had a great track record when it comes to relationships. Love is Blind, however, has done better than The Bachelor. So maybe being that the two are Love is Blind alums will work in AD and Ollie’s favor. For those who need a reminder of previous heartbreak, AD appeared on Season 6 of the US version of Love is Blind, while Ollie appeared on Season 1 of the UK version of Love is Blind.

The answer is yes and their respective Instagrams prove it. Even though the reunion wasn’t live, they both did share the photos from the proposal, proof that they are still together to this day. So, congratulations to the happy couple. In a preview clip of her podcast, What’s The Reality, AD and Ollie revealed how he “tricked” her into proposing.
People were onto the two ever since the Love Is Blind Season 7 reunion, where AD confirmed that she was indeed seeing someone, though back then she played coy about his identity, indicating she didn’t want to reveal who it was. The rumors of their relationship started after a video shared to TikTok on Oct. 2 of last year showed them sharing a romantic dinner in Mexico and even getting a little hands.
Back then, fans were pretty excited about the possibility of what they called a “Love is Blind multiverse,” and the multiverse is indeed real. Both Ollie and AD shared a carrousel of pictures of the two of them together, including a picture of the proposal, of the ring, and pictures of the two posing together with the ring and in front of a bathroom mirror and at a restaurant, with a caption that read, THIS is how you do a hard launch! 💍#TheSutherlands”
The two of them also shared stories featuring their proposal. So, it’s safe to say they’re not only happy, they’re into celebrating their love right about now. But, does that mean they actually won Perfect Match Season 3? Inquiring minds want to know.
