Grant Ellis on The Bachelor 2025
Disney/Matt Sayles

Warning: The Bachelor Season 29 spoilers ahead. After weeks of dates, roses, and improvised love songs (you know the one), Grant’s Final Rose Ceremony is almost here. But does Grant end up alone on The Bachelor Season 29 after struggling to choose between his final two?

He was originally a contestant on The Bachelorette Season 21 with Jenn Tran, where he was sent home in Week 7. Grant was announced as the next Bachelor on Good Morning America in August 2024, which made him the second Black Bachelor and sixth Black lead in Bachelor Nation history.

During The Bachelor Season 29‘s Hometown Dates episode, Grant confessed to Season 28 Bachelor, Joey Graziadei, that he was scared he wouldn’t find anyone and leave his season single. “I am a little bit nervous, because my greatest fear is that I end up alone,” he said. He continued, “It’s been emotionally taxing. A hundred percent. I knew that I was gonna develop feelings, but I didn’t expect them to be so deep.”

Does Grant end up alone on The Bachelor Season 29?

Grant Ellis on The Bachelor 2025

No, Grant does not leave The Bachelor Season 29 single, according to Reality Steve. Grant ends up with Juliana Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old Client Service Associate from Newton, Massachusetts, whom he gives his final rose and gets engaged to in The Bachelor Season 29 finale. His runner-up was Litia Garr, a 31-year-old Venture Capitalist from Star Valley, Wyoming, while his third-place finalist was Zoe McGrady, a 27-year-old Tech Engineer and Model from Chester, Virginia.

Though the promo for Grant’s Final Rose Ceremony made it seem like he struggled to choose between his final two and may have left The Bachelor Season 29 single, Grant hinted Us Weekly in March 2025 that he knew who he wanted to pick as his winner by Hometown Dates. “I, honestly, was 100 percent sure because that’s what I came there for. I knew I was going to make things work,” he said. He also called out The Bachelor’s editing, which made it seem like he didn’t make his decision for who he wanted to give his final rose to until the last minute. “[It] definitely wasn’t [down to] one hour,” he said, explaining that the moment of indecision seen in the trailer was due to “external factors” and not necessarily wavering feelings for his winner.

“I’ve always been a really decisive person in terms of my career and everything in that field. … In high school, I was a star athlete and had to decide what college I went to, what major,” he said.

Grant’s interview came after host Jesse Palmer told Us Weekly in January 2025 that Grant didn’t know who he wanted to choose as his winner until right before the Final Rose Ceremony took place. “It’s real,” Jesse said of his moment of indecision in the trailer. “And I don’t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, [but] I was surprised. That was something that I haven’t encountered yet as the host in the last four years on any of the franchises. Normally, I think, our leads have a little bit more clarity — a lot more clarity — heading into the final day. And I really think that’s how conflicted Grant really was.”

He continued, “They’re phenomenal every year for whoever our lead is [and] making that decision on the final day is always a very, very difficult decision, but I can appreciate some of why Grant was so conflicted. I’ll just say that. But absolutely without giving away too much, that was authentic and it’s real and it’s not an edit.”

Juliana on The Bachelor 2025

Though he ended up with Juliana, Grant faced speculation from fans that he really wanted to choose Litia but decided against it due to differences in religion and culture. Litia is Mormon, while Grant is not. . “It’s clear he really like Litia but the Mormon/religion thing is stopping him from going all in. We’ll see how it plays out,” a user wrote on Reddit.

The Bachelor streams on Hulu.
