Here’s What Really Happened With Temptation Island’s Tyler & Kay After His Ex’s Shady Instagram Move
Netflix has bet hard on reality TV, and so far every reality TV dating show they’ve put out has proven them right. From Love is Blind, which just ended its eighth season, to the newest offering, Temptation Island, it seems like viewers cannot get enough of the drama—and hopefully, the love. Temptation Island isn’t exactly a new idea, but it’s coming back for Netflix with a new look and four brand-new couples.
The show originated on Fox way back in 2001 and later aired on the USA Network. The new version, which is technically the ninth season of the show, features four new couples: Ashley and Grant, who have been dating for 1.5 years, Alexa and Lino, who have been dating for 3.5 years, Brion and Shante, who have been dating for 1 year and Tayler and Tyler, who have been dating for 2.5 years.

In Temptation Island four couples are secluded on an island to test their love through temptation. The men live in one villa. The women in another. Those villas are filled with eligible singles. The men and the women go on dates with said singles. Throughout the experience, the couples are shown what their significant others are doing. Will they still even want their original partner at the end of their time on the island? Will they find clarity or will they find someone new?
Unlike Love Is Blind’s staggered release, Netflix released all ten episodes of Temptation Island together. And by the time they were all out, we’d experienced one threesome, two very messy breakups, two new couples, and one engagement. One of the couples who broke up was Tayler and Tyler. But which couples actually left Temptation Island together? Who broke up? And are Tyler and Kay still together on Temptation Island?
Are Tyler and Kay still together on Temptation Island?
Tyler’s relationship with Tayler didn’t last very long on Temptation Island. He tried to pretend things weren’t done, but he started emotionally cheating with Kay pretty early on if we’re being honest. It wasn’t just the lap dance—not that we’re condoning Brion’s threesome here, but that was purely physical at least—but Tyler was in emotionally pretty early on, cuddling with Kay and all, and telling the camera about it.
He also seemed very detached from what was going on with Tayler in the other villa, like all that mattered was what he was experiencing with Kay. And he was all in with Kay, he wasn’t there to experience the villa, and he wasn’t tempted by the girls in general. Or, he was only tempted by one girl, not that’s much better. He was all there with Kay, having sleepovers pretty quickly. In fact, Tyler leaving with Kay wasn’t in doubt at any moment in this experience.
Tyler asked Kay out on every one of his dates. He went into the Haven with her. Kissed her. Joked about proposals with her. Said he was falling for her. Talked about more feelings regarding Kay than he ever did regarding the woman he came into this experience with. There was probably more romance on screen regarding Tyler and Kay than there was between Alexa and Lino, and they walked out of this show engaged. Even Tayler wasn’t surprised about Tyler’s choices, she just felt disrespected, and with good reason. Tyler didn’t even try to salvage their relationship, instead, he jumped onto the next girl.
And, considering his pattern, they’re likely not together anymore. earlier this month, Kay shared a clip of herself dancing in an empty loft, with the graphic, “an apartment he’s never been in.” After fans were questioning whether she’s referring to Tyler, she replied “i’m sworn to secrecy rn. reunion hopefully.”
